Makes the cooking process more energy efficient, as well as reducing the need for refilling your water bath when cooking for extended time periods. The lid features a cut-out specially designed for the Sansaire immersion circulator. The lid, when combined with the LIPAVI C10 container and the LIPAVI L10 sous vide rack, makes a perfect system for use with your Sansaire. I did 3 days in a row and the temperature kept really well, and more importantly the water level only went down like 1/4th inch. Fits the sansaire perfectly. It's a little more expensive than i'd like, but it worked perfectly so I have to give it 5 stars (you can decide if the price is worth it to you).

Well, the price didn't stop me, because I was tired of wrapping my sous vide tub in saran wrap. Most of the time it doesn't HAVE to have a cover, but when we're cooking mass quantities (like a whole turkey), without covering the tub, our Sansaire couldn't get up to temperature in the winter.

BTW, if you want to cook a whole turkey, spatchcock it first, separate the white and dark meat and cook each according to recommendations out there on the interwebz. There are a lot of sous vide recipe sites that have absurdly difficult instructions for dissecting the turkey for sous vide. Just go to Youtube and learn now to spatchcock. A sous vided turkey is divine.
