The handle design is very ergonomical, feels super nice in your hand. Pens should be shaped this way, all of them, I say! Haha.. Love that it has little feet so when you set it down, it will not roll away from you. Nice!
The blade on this thing is fantastic!! I first used it to wrap an oatmeal container with duct tape. This cut so much nicer through the duct tape than scissors! It was nice for making precise cuts. My cousin dates a football player so I used his team's duct tape design on it and did the bottom with a complimentary design... Just something cute to give her with some of her birthday gifts. Could be used as a trash can in the car or for grocery bags or whatever... Anyway, I had to cut the tape, which is pretty thick you know, in a circle for part at the bottom and this worked wonderfully. It grips so nicely and cuts so clean, made the project a breeze. I am sure I will be getting a lot of use out of it!
Storing it, along with some other small craft items, in these bags, I would also recommend. Smile. 6 Pieces Multi Color Mesh Design Zipper Make Up Bag for Ladies
Highly recommend this craft knife and will likely be buying other products by this company in the future. Hope this helps!
I saw this one and read the other reviews and I thought, why not? So I bought two, and I love it! I've been using it on making papercraft, I'm currently working on Howl's Moving Castle and there's A LOT of parts in there let me tell you.
It's easier to manoeuvre than the normal knife, I find it works great even when I'm cutting rounded edges. The grip is wonderful, it doesn't hurt my hand, and usually on the normal cylindrical ones, the muscle in my palm would hurt after a while, and also my middle finger where the knife rests. But with this one, it's comfortable even for long periods of time. But it's a given than you have to rest your hands after cutting for so long, so try not to force it. Haha!
I would remind people to be careful when opening the packaging because I don't even know how I got so stupid, I never got cut by any of my knives, but when I opened this one my finger just did not cooperate. HAHA. I'm fine. It's all good. The blade is very sharp, I can tell you that. =))
All in all, this is a really good buy!
we have been using the standard aluminum xacto knives forever. but, after long time use, they are uncomfortable to hold. the aluminum version puts more "pencil dents" in your resting finger than a normal pencil. this X-ACTO X3251 Designer Series Craft Knife, Pink is so comfortable that working on long, intricate cuttings is a snap and not painful at all. this version is a little thicker and actually more comfortable than the skinny one. the color is great as it stands out in the drawer and you know that is the one with the sharp blade. this one fits well as the indention is easy to hold between your fingers and the thicker part of the handle gives more support for the finer cuts. no jiggling around. great product and super fast delivery. we now have a series of pink xacto designer knives. each one has its own use. yrmv
