Choose Your Powerbreather: (See Chart Below)
All Powerbreather are great for general snorkeling fun up to Ironman training with safe, fresh air breathing.
Unleash the Power of Endless Swimming
What Makes the Powerbreather More Advanced
The Powerbreather is a symmetric snorkel that brings in fresh air from both the top tubes, and exhales your CO2 from the bottom. There is no mixed CO2 air as with a any traditional snorkel.
Wave edition includes flip caps to put on optionally over the speed vents insuring water stays out during flip turns. Also includes long vents for open water choppy conditions give you about an inch more of tube length in waves.
Top valves on the tube only open briefly for an inhale, otherwise staying closed and keeping water out. You can literally hold your breath, dive deep, come up and inhale, with no water entering the snorkel. You can swim in choppy, wave like conditions without ever turning your head to breathe or purging, just exhale and breathe naturally and relaxed.
Saliva or any water that may have entered during a breath just drains out the bottom, no purging of water necessary. Just dry, fresh air, with every breath. With a Powerbreather, you can swim for further and easier than you ever have before. Safely, with fresh, dry air with just relaxed breathing.
Recreational swimmers, triathletes, para athletes, endless pools, general snorkeling, all benefit from the Powerbreather. (Note: Not for SCUBA) Can be worn with swim goggles or diving masks.
Compare to Front Snorkel: front snorkel obscures your view, wobbles on flip turn push offs, and like a traditional side snorkel, it has mixed air with CO2 which is not healthy, effects oxygen to your bloodstream, effects endurance, and can cause headaches.
A Powerbreather gives a clear view, won't wobble, fits all heads, and only brings in fresh air. You can swim or snorkel long distances for any amount of time, with never having to turn your head, breathing fresh air.
We believe in making swimming fun and easier for thousands of people around the world.
The Powerbreather Wave edition has ocean fun written all over it. Yes, you can literally swim parallel to the shore of choppy ocean waves, ebbing and flowing, propelling yourself, without ever having to turn your head and gasp for air. No purging, just breathe.
This experience is what has swimmers around the world raving about the Powerbreather. The slight buoyancy of the filled chambers, the fresh air system, the dryness in even wavy conditions, the snug fit to your head with a clear view of what lies beneath and beyond, makes swimming in what would be difficult conditions, enjoyable.
The extra long speed vents with the Wave edition help prevent any breaks in your breathing in choppy conditions. So even on that cold windy day, you will take to the water with excitement and anticipation.
Breathing issues. Some reviews have mentioned it difficult to breathe. Improved on in Spring of 2017 is the now standard Easy Vents making it easier to breathe. Medium (previous version) and Power vents sold separately. If your speed vents do not say 'Easy' on them, reach out to Powerbreather USA.
Unleash the Power of Endless Swimming
Swim like a shark, breath like a runner.
The Ameo Fresh Air System
The patented Ameo Fresh Air System sets the Powerbreather apart. In a traditional snorkel, you inhale and exhale in the same tube; this is not healthy and can be detrimental to your workout and health. With the Powerbreather, you inhale from the top tubes, and exhale out the bottom, completely separating O2 and CO2. Fresh air every breath. The system also uses a membrane system to prevent water from getting in, making swimming in rough water or waves ideal. No need to turn your head to breathe.

Recreational SwimmersEnjoy endless swimming with the Powerbreather and fresh air. Pool, lake, ocean or upriver swimming. Powerbreather turns recreational swimmers into distance swimmers around the world. |
For Snorkelers and FreediversSafe breathing over long swimming / snorkeling times (no pendulum breathing). There is no risk of CO2 fatigue, as it's always fresh air. Fluids like water and saliva simply drain out with gravity from the bottom. |
Fully AdjustableThe Twist Lock system comfortably adjusts from about 10 years old to an adult head size, (we've only seen issues with very wide heads). It works with almost any pair of swimming or snorkeling goggles. |
Fully ModularFlipturns? Training in choppy open water? Want to mimic hypoxic breathing? Modular attachments let you do all that with the Powerbreather (flip caps included with Wave and Lap models, see comparison chart below). |

Some mention it's designed very well and fits excellent, making it comfortable to wear; while others say that it'd be too small for big heads, the mouth piece is too big, and it'll be very tight to wear. I just came back from my holidays. I was lucky to spend a week snorkeling off the coast of Turkey and another in Rhodes, one of the Greek islands...
I was ready to head off with my old mask and snorkel tube as I had backed the latest Seaview 180 full face mask and there had been a delay in delivery. Thankfuly I came upon an ad for the Powerbreather... I took the plunge and ordered it. I got it exactly two days before leaving for the holidays...
The first time I put it on, it felt weird. Breathing in wasn't very straightforward, I am assuming because of the two tubes. But you get used to it really fast, and that's when the product shines! I have snorkeled more than 4 hours a day during my trip and I could have just kept going if it wasn't for my wife getting bored watching from the shore!
There is absolutely no comparison between my endurance when using a standard mask+snorkel and the powerbreather. I can't wait to use it in a swimming pool to do laps, which I should do later today actually...
If I were to find one slight disadvantage (that didn't bother me much to be honest) is the noise of the bubbles when you breath out and the dolphin like, clicking sounds that come out from the tubes when you turn your head when swimming. The first time that happened I thought a dolphin was sneaking up on me! I was using the long tubes so not sure if that happens with the short ones as well, but it was really weird.
Anyway, the powerbreather completely revolutionized the way I snorkel/swim and I was constantly approached by people who were curious to know what alien device I was using while they were using standard equipment...
Powerbreather PB0102 Wave
This is so easy to use, you hardly ever get any water in your mouth so you do not have to raise your head. You can get carried away with snorkeling in the sea with a full face mask and a snorkel with longer speed vents attached. It stays firmly attached to your head and in your mouth so talking is not so easy with this in place.
It is one of the more expensive snorkels. But you get what you pay for. As my wife says, "it is just like a pair of shoes in that it is the cost per wear that is important". Considering I have used this 6 times in 2 weeks, , I am looking at a great value for money snorkel!
I am impressed how spare parts are easily available and can be posted anywhere in the world from the AMEO Powerbreather company.
The reason I needed a new one was because I jumped in the sea with my old snorkel in my mouth, a wave hit my face as I landed and the purge valve dropped off never to be seen again. I am comforted to know that if I did damage any part of this snorkel I could simply replace the relevant part.
I am delighted with this purchase and just wanted to thank you and tell anyone who is thinking about a new snorkel for serious swimming that this is the best one I have found, and I am fairly confident anyone can find.
Ameo Power Breather is a sexy beast. It looks cool, and it was a super product from instruction, packaging, and features. It even has an adapter for flip turns. After trying out once, I decided to return it. There are two reasons. 1. It was more difficult to breath through this. I am asthmatic and didn't want struggle with it. I do think this will get athletes in shape faster by providing this resistance. Just not for me. 2. This sexy beast has a few moving parts. As a novice swimmer, I am concerned about a part failure while swimming. When I become a better swimmer, I'd like to try this out again.
Zionor is simple and easy to use basic snorkel that is positioned in front to assist with swimming laps. I have not tried the flip turns with this, but I didn't expect to use it for the turns. It is simple with not much too go wrong. I'd recommend a lock washer to make sure the headband stays intact. The bolt is screwed in to the plastic hole, and I'd expect this to wear out in time. [You don't want snorkel trouble in the open ocean. I had a malfunction happen with a full faced snorkel mask and thought that I'd drown.]

Alas, it's probably not going to work for me. I was worried from the reviews I read that I would have trouble taking air in ... but that wasn't a problem for me at all. Air intake felt clean and easy. However, blowing air out is ridiculously difficult compared to other dive and swim snorkels I've used ... and the result is a massive cloud of bubbles rising up right in front of your face. That was a particular problem for me, not because there's anything more interesting for me to be looking at in my pool, but because the NOISE of the exhale and the bubbles is so loud that it drowns out the audio book I'm trying to listen to while I do laps. (I suppose I could crank up the volume, but that wouldn't be good for my ears or my hearing in the long run.)
Really bummed.

I have never had any issues with water coming in although sometimes it seems so natural I accidentally breathe in through my nose ...
Estoy encantado y recomiendo su compra.
Note tho, takes time to get used to(read and follow user manual, those first 4 min are very important), a touch harder to exhale than usual tube, but once u got it, there is no going back, EVER, I ll never snorkel without my new best buddy.
Thank you very much guys!!
