If you want a really good story that will tug at your emotions, this is a great read. The story pulled me in, and kept me interested with each new chapter. The main character is a young women with a seemingly perfect life, a loving husband and 3 great kids. But then her past comes back to haunt her, and she struggles with emotions that had long since been buried. I found myself really pulling for them all, and the ending was satisfying yet still left me anticipating the next book.

I was impressed with the writing style of this new author, and I am hoping she keeps going with a lot of future books. I will be reading more of them for sure!

It was a great book where one man Dalton is married to rea n striker is his cousin but who is also in live with rea there is so much lies n the boys know striker but rea didn't know that he knew them from men days. The ending is sad I can't wait to read the next book

My introduction to Elizabeth Wills’ writing was delightful! Her characters were complex enough to be realistic and intriguing. Her debut book left a cliffhanger which will have you looking forward to the next book in the series and you may need Kleenexes for more than a few moments.

I enjoy a well written emotional roller coaster of a romance and Fractured Affections delivered. The style made it easy to read straight thru. It is not a book you read for the sex scenes, while there are hot sex within the book it is built within the story line.

Children within stories in appropriate dialog and interactions is a wonderful touch. You get to see different sides of the characters when they deal with their children versus other adults and their partners.

I am giving Fractured Affections by Elizabeth Wills a 4.3 Star rating, if you are wondering why I marked 5 stars it is because I always round up while majority round down. It was a great way to begin the series giving the reader enough to enjoy and leads you right into the next book of the series.

Great storyline, well developed characters and though you may be able to figure out the cliffhanger before you get to the end it still leaves you wanting more. Impressive for a first novel. Cannot wait for next installment. Then maybe another series focusing on Riley too. I would love to hear the end of her story.

The premise of this book is interesting

But I saw what would happen (very rarely a book surprises). The story unfolds as I expected. This is part one and ends on a cliffhanger. Overall a 3 star read for me.

Elizabeth Wills navigates this complex union of characters in FRACTURED AFFECTIONS, blending the character's shared history in a tasteful but tantalizing way. Romances past and present are smoldering but tastefully injected into the storyline with ease and grace. I came to love the mystery surrounding why people tell untruths to protect the people they love. Truth is the basis for trust, a delicate balance, but Wills skillfully handles this 'touchy' issue. Congratulations on a book well written from this reader's POV. It made me think and often gave me pause to consider what decisions I would have made, if I was in the position of both unexpectedly, male and female characters. I am ready to read Book 2 because I really believe it will be a good read, too. -G

Fractured Affections is the first book in The Affections series, and outstanding debut novel by Elizabeth Wills. This angsty, contemporary romance has really surprised me; from the polished writing, to the compelling and heart wrenching storyline- I truly didn’t expect to be so emotionally drawn into it, in such an overwhelming way. I thought it would be a good book when I started it, I just didn’t expect this level of brilliance.
Reagan Knowles (Rea) and her husband Dalton have been married for eleven years; and they have three amazing sons Dylan 10, Max 7 and Colt 5. Before they were married, Reagan’s life was fraught with stress, anxiety, panic attacks and debilitating depression. With a lot of love, kindness and understanding, Dalton has helped her overcome these issues and they now live a peaceful and somewhat idyllic life.
But, there are things that the couple don’t talk about and secrets they are keeping, some which are yet to surface- which will change their lives forever.
When Dalton has to fly interstate for a couple of months for business, he asks his cousin to stay with the family, look after them and run the business, while he is away.
Three knocks on her door is enough to turn Reagan’s life upside down; and this is the point at which this story ramps up in its intensity, gets really interesting and where I got so emotionally invested in it and the characters.
Ms. Wills has turned a complex idea into a well thought out, intricately detailed and skilfully written book- that has so many layers, twists, turns and a really well-crafted back story. She keeps you guessing right up to the end. The characters are real, are dealing with real life situations, and are well developed- with individual personality traits.
There is an undercurrent of sexual tension that flows through the whole book, though there is not much in the way of actual sex scenes; but what there is, is sexy and steamy.
I loved the fast pace of the story and the smooth flow, this allowed me to zip through the book in a day; which I really appreciated considering how totally immersed and invested I was in it- I was so consumed by it, that I couldn’t flick the pages on my Kindle fast enough.
This is a real tear jerker- I felt like I’d had my heart ripped out and I found myself sobbing quite a lot, through the book (so make sure to stock up on tissues before you start reading). This is the kind of book that impacts you emotionally, leaves you overwhelmed, with a book hangover and has you thinking about it long after you have finished it. I read this a few days ago, and even though I have read two more books since then, I can’t stop thinking about it and how much it has affected me. I am still moved by it, and couldn’t have written a review before now. This is a book that will go on your favourite books list and one that you will want to read again and again.
The book ends in a major cliff hanger that had my jaw on the ground and my mind whirling; so I will definitely be reading the next book, so I can find out what happens, before I combust from the suspense!
Ms. Wills is an author whose work you will want to add to your bookshelf and/or collection.

Fracture Affections is extremely well written, the characters are all so loveable, the story is so real and it keeps you guessing right till the end, I cannot wait for the next one.
