Thank you so much Olivia Wildenstein, for offering one of your works of art for free.
I would love to read this. I found it on my daily free book/ book club. I went to claim this book, only to find out that it wasn't free at all. Very disappointed. I will be following the author, Olivia Wildenstein, hopefully (because I don't have the money) it will be offered for free at a later date, so that'll I can review it. I really appreciate when authors are gracious enough to offer some of their work for free. I have met many of my favorite authors this way. Thank you Olivia. I'm so sorry that I was too late to aquire your work. I hope to be reading your work/art soon.

I am voluntarily leaving this review. This was a good book that will keep you on the edge of your seat from page one. The story is the second installment of three books and follows a set of identical twins on a journey that has them finding themselves and learning about the secrets they both keep hidden from each other.

Aster finds herself in jail while Ivy finds what she believes is her dreams come true by being accepted onto the reality TV show Masterpieces. While both of them find themselves away from each other without being able to contact each other, they both learn that they aren’t as close as they thought they were. Now both of them have to learn how to survive on their own without each other there to bail them out.

I can’t wait to see how this author ends this series in the next book. I feel like there were some unanswered questions for me but not bad enough for me to not enjoy the book. Who knows, I may find my answers in the third book. I would recommend this series to others.

This book had me reeling from beginning to end! I read it immediately after the prequel from the Mystery and Mayhem boxed set. I was shocked from word one. Shocked! I couldn't believe how things had ended up and Aster... Then I saw a side of Ivy that I didn't know existed: strength, resolution and sass! The story unfolds and it will leave you with your mouth gaping open. There are so may players and the list of betrayal goes on and on. I was blown away by this book and the ending left me with such a lump in my throat, that I had to buy the next one immediately! I didn't stop until I had devoured this entire series. Bring on book 4! (I'm reviewing out of order... I wanted to make sure I reviewed them all.)
The author is to be commended for her ingenious talent. I typically read everything in the paranormal genre, but these books just wowed me!
Another highly recommended, five-star read!

I am certainly not the target audience for this one but the blurb drew me in. The idea for the story is such a clever and original one that I couldn’t help myself and actually slipped this one up my rather long reading list. I wasn’t disappointed and I could give a standing ovation for how the writer came up with this story line. Where is slid for me was perhaps in a general sense of it needing to have a bit more meat on the bones . Again this may well be down to the fact that I am not the right target audience. I suspect a YA audience will enjoy this immensely. With a bit more depth I would say this would be a top book in my estimation, but that is a light criticism for it is well written, it has a nice pace to it and ultimately, this is indeed a good story. Worth picking up

19-year-old Ivy Redd’s talent with a needle and thread has earned her a spot on a coveted reality TV art competition set in New York’s Metropolitan Museum. The prize: a significant amount of money and instant acceptance into the Masterpiecers, the school that ensures new artists fame and fortune. This totally reminded me how all reality TC shows have twists, untruths, hidden agendas and suspense. Her talent has also thrust her and her twin sister, Aster, into the spotlight. Not that Aster needed help with becoming a media favorite. She managed that on her own by running over a wanted Mafioso. She told the police it was self-defense, because she couldn’t tell them the truth—the truth would make her sister look bad. Now locked in an Indiana jail to await trial, Aster watches Ivy on TV. It’s the highlight of her day, until she finds out what her sister truly thinks of her. Then, observing her sister becomes a punishment far crueler than imprisonment.

The story is told in dual POV, which was great. Two separate story lines that intersect like any good mystery to be solved.

So.....this took a dark turn compared to the first book!!!! From the very beginning a lot changed. You still get Asters POV but you also get Ivys this time. Which is really nice the only thing is I'm not sure how I feel about her yet. Josh I'm definitely not a fan of anymore. I won't say anymore so I don't give any spoilers away!! I will end with Damn this was intense!!!

Told by the two varying points of view of twin sisters Ivy and Aster, this is a story that deepens to the point that as you read it you don't know how or what to believe. The circumstances of the sisters couldn't be more different what with one in jail and the other on the brink of winning her hearts desire by winning money and a place into the Masterpiecers, a prestigious art school that would ensure her career success and even more riches. It's not until the plot gets going that you learn the background to each of the sisters and how their present circumstances are connected. A page turner to be sure.

Excellent Read that will keep you entertained the whole way through, I really enjoyed this book. I loved the two different perspectives of Ivy and Aster. I spent a good portion of the story unsure who to believe and what was going to happen next.

An okay read but I never really got into the story line till the last quarter of the story. But look stories full of action in most cases.

Recommend to readers who like to be kept guessing.
An intriguing mystery/thriller surrounding twin sisters. Ivy is a contestant in a bizarre reality art show competing for a coveted place in a prestigious art academy while her sister, Aster is in prison awaiting trial for murder.
The author does a fantastic job of building suspense by alternating chapters between the two sisters. Very early on we realise there is a connection between the murder and the quilt which gave Ivy her place at the show. With neither sister telling the whole truth I changed my mind so many times throughout the read as to the true connection and which sister was the guilty one.
An interesting insight into sibling rivalry and love as once separated each sister has doubts about the other.
A well-written, page-turning read but I was a little confused by the ending.

Not one, but two, unreliable narrators. An original and very modern setting. A competition. A love story. Suspense. What more can you want to keep the pages turning?
This book is for young adults from 15 to 85. A very entertaining read - enjoy! I did, and that's why the five stars.
