4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 72 ratings

They say you never know someone until you take a trip with them. But this isn’t a holiday – this is the comeback tour for Tristan Hunter. His brilliantly crafted debut solo album is getting a lot of attention thanks to Lily Taylor, the music journalist. She’s there to write up the tour, if what goes on backstage can even be printed. One thing she won’t be writing about is her passionate relationship with the star. They want to make it work, but there are a lot of obstacles to romantic bliss on a tour bus.

AC Clark, the guitarist from Tristan’s old band Devised, is also along for the ride. No stranger to excess, AC has a lot of memories about the bad old days, and he’s ready to share. Lily is learning fast what happens on the road, stays there...but some secrets are too big to hide. And Tristan knows the stage will take everything he has – and push him right to the edge. When past and present collide, it might be a crash no one recovers from…

J&G: 4.5 beautiful stars
'This didn't feel like real life at all. But maybe it felt like love.'
Jenny: Saying goodbye to Lily and Tristan really was a mixture of beauty and sadness. The beauty being the series as a whole and the very special conclusion to Lily and Tristan's story. It's one I've savoured from start to finish. The sadness being that I had to say goodbye to some truly memorable characters and some breathtakingly poetic prose, they will be missed.
"Love isn't just one story. This is ours. Let it be. Stop asking why it's different."
I've been with Lily and Tristan through their ups and downs, their happiness and heartache and every minute was special. They're anything but conventional and neither is their relationship and at times I felt like a voyeur, sneaking a peek at someone's personal journey rather than being a spectator thanks to Alice's words. I've said it before, it's like being on tour with a Rolling Stone reporter when you read this account of life in the crazy world of rock stardom.
It warms my heart that Alice stayed true to her characters and their story. I can't tell you how much I loved this one!
Gitte: Alice did her characters and her story proud with this last instalment, Jenny and yes I absolutely loved it. She did indeed stay true to Tristan and Lily, not only in who they are as individuals but who they are together.
"We're mad, Lily. Mad. But I love it. And I love you."
These two beautiful people could not be without one another, it's not a pretty flowery romance, but that is exactly why I loved it; and really...the setting and history realistically calls out for it. What a journey this has been,

I loved this book and I loved the characters, a love that the writer obviously shares as she goes behind the scenes on a rock band's bus tour. She really digs deep into the psyches of her characters: the band's founder, moody, unpredictableTristan; the music journalist Lily, who has become his lover and is along for the ride; and the various band members, hangers-on, and fans, who keep the determined but somewhat overwhelmed Lily on her toes. But it's the sex scenes that really made the book special for me. Sensual and passionate, they explore the various forms of sexuality that are often surprisingly hidden from public view in the music world. But wow, do they explode off the page here.

Access Unlimited was an amazing read! We got more of Tristan and Lily, but also some of AC. I know some people are not happy with how this story turned out, but I truly loved this how this story played out, and we got a final true ending that I believe everyone should be happy with.

Lily and Tristan are on the road with the band doing the tour and word is out about Lily and Tristan's relationship. Things, like they always are with these two, are not simple and things quickly escalate in many different areas. Lily catches AC and Tristan in a compromising position, but doesn't say anything. This ends up being quite intriguing how she handled it.

I loved Tristan and Lily together, and add in AC and the dynamic between these three is awesome. I loved Lily and AC's building friendship, and how Tristan was when he was with them both. We really saw Tristan open up more in this story, and Lily really find her own footing in this world and being happy.

There are some things in this book that will have you on the edge of the seat with worry with how things are going to play out, there will be frustration with all of these characters, and there will be laughs. I truly believe this story filled in everything we were missing and was a great conclusion to Lily and Tristan's relationship. This book will have you feeling a variety of emotions, and leave you with a hang over.

I may have not liked the beginning of the series, but it just kept getting better and better. I loved how the characters aren't perfect, and are a lot easier to relate to, since they do have flaws. If you're looking for an edgy, emotional roller coaster with characters you will love, and love to hate, I do suggest picking up these books today.

Read the first two books. Loved them! Couldn't wait for number three to come out. SPOILER ALERT. I wasn't expecting AC Clark (the guitarist for Tristan's old band, Devised) to be in a sexual relationship with Tristan. Yes, it was alluded to in book #2, but I really wanted this to be a love story between Tristan and Lily! And it is, in a way, just with a wrench thrown into the mix.
It bothered me that Tristan wasn't honest with Lily from the very start about what his relationship with AC really was. He needed to tell her that he was involved sexually and emotionally with him and let her decide if she still wanted to be with him or not. He was the one espousing "honesty" to her. He should have done the same for her!

She happened upon them giving each other a hand job. Now,that being said, I actually enjoy a little man on man action and menage action in my reading! But if the writer is going to take me there-- TAKE ME ALL THE WAY THERE! AC was seducing Lily and the menage scene was set, and the next thing I know, it's a week later and AC's leaving town! I want the sex scene described to me. I want to know what each person was feeling and how hot and hard it was! So, I'm assuming the three of them had sex, but not sure!
Anyway, the book was decent, except for missing sex scenes. Which probably would have been fantastic if they would have been included! (In both previous books the sex scenes were pretty damn hot! So I know Alice knows how to tell it. Just wish she would have in this book.)

Tristan and Lily are back in this haunting, gritty and very sexy installment in the Access Series trilogy. Although technically a standalone novel, I highly recommend the first two books in the series, Access All Areas and Access Unrestricted, which introduce the brilliant but troubled rock star Tristan Hunter and rock journalist Lily Taylor. This series offers an incredibly detailed and nuanced look behind the scenes of the music business told from the viewpoint of Lily.

In this book, Lily has agreed to go on tour with the world-famous Tristan and his band. Life on the road is a grueling and exhausting succession of endless hotel rooms, demanding fans and constant pressure from the record label. Tristan is a perfectionist and Lily soon learns that his ultimate focus is on the his music and the numerous details of performing live night after night.

"As I watched him move, watched him shut the door, and heard the sound of the shower starting, I realized that he never stopped working. That even now he would be thinking of the sound check, and what to ask for, what to tell the band, remembering to get someone to fetch the girl from the front of the stage."

"Not for the first time, it struck me how lightly he carried enormous responsibility that he placed upon himself, to get it all right."

Tristan and Lily had a sometimes-volatile relationship in the earlier books and Tristan constantly battled some serious addictions. He is more focused in this book but still exhibits some of the same insecurities and desperate need for love that makes him one of my favorite characters. Lily must deal with Tristan's deep connection with his lifelong friend and bandmate AC, who is battling his own demons.

Access Unlimited provides a harsh look into the perils of stardom and fame and also is an incredibly written description of life on the road. I absolutely loved the relationship between Tristan, AC and Lily and could not get enough of these three together! Alice Severin is a gifted and talented writer and these characters stayed with me long after I finished this book. I really hated to say goodbye to Tristan, Lily and AC and would love to read more about them in the future!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great series and brilliantly written..!!

I download Access Unlimited because I'd read the previous two books but I couldn't for the life of me remember the storyline or characters, the first book Access all Areas was back in 2012 which was ages ago, so I decided to go back to the beginning of Access Restricted to reacquaint myself and even then there were a lot a couldn't remember and I couldn't help thinking that I should have read the first book again too, I've read so many In between.
One things for sure is that Alice Severin style of writing is quite different, the poetry influence and just the wording in General is absolutely brilliant and because of this you can't read these books quickly well I couldn't anyway, I needed to absorb every sentence, it makes you feel as if you are there and because of that you feel well connected with the characters.
I loved how Tristan and AC were together but the anticipation you felt all the way through was so great there were many times I thought something was going to happen with the two of them I know there was that one incident that Lily witnessed but I have to say I was surprised there wasn't more and surprised it took as long as it did with Lily by that I mean the three of them together I thought it was beautiful, it worked for them and the ending was very touching, from the moment they turned up at Nick and Sarah's house and Lily had her moment and you defiantly felt it, it made me cry, all in all it's been a superb series..
Thank you Alice Severin..!!

Well where to start...other reviewers have summed it up perfectly for me so a short review that may contain spoilers.
Overall I feel disappointment and emptiness from the conclusion of this story.Whilst we know their love affair was fairly non traditional I never expected to feel so disappointed in Tristan and his behaviour, it turns out he loves two people and simply feels it's ok and completely justifiable to cheat because that is exactly what he did...Lily I felt did not deserve him at all but really never tackled him about this and was somewhat accepting...my question is if she had seen the same scene that she witnessed but instead he was with his Ex wife let's say would she be so accepting...No she would have left...that is what I have a problem with...infidelity is just that whoever it is with...there were no explanations, no apologies and no repercussions.Everyone appeared to know this 'secret' except Lily...I could feel the humiliation even if she couldn't.
Why the 4 stars ? Well I always review fairly and whilst I did not enjoy the conclusion and felt cheated Alice's writing was superb and detailed as always.
The ending whilst beautiful was tarnished for me...it was too late by then for me to feel satisfied with the conclusion...instead I feel sad and empty and don't feel they will achieve a HEA in the long run...would I let Tristan go on tour without me in the future...No way No how!

Don't want to say to much and give anything away, however it was beautifully written but I could not have put up with that and I didn't want Lily to either I wanted to slap her, I know it was part of who he was and she knew but it wasn't for me, still enjoyed it though and glad I read it, acceptable ending.

I liked this series because the situations feel real, the characters have flaws and the love story is not all hearts and flowers. The plot is unpredictable, particularly in Book 3. I hope that Alice writes more books like these - and soon.
