Perfect size, attractive and airtight

I've been on the hunt for a perfect set of canisters to hold coffee, tea and other items I keep on my countertop and use on a daily basis. They are excellent quality; they hold a good amount and look very nice as a set. The chalkboard labels are embedded into the sides of the jars, so it is easy to label them.
Th only downside is that the mouth of the jars are not able to fit a measuring cup larger than 1/3 cup. Maybe a 1/2 cup. But for little countertop items, they are great.

Really love these canisters. Have good seals and size was just right for my small kitchen. Fit right in corner space. Was surprised already has labels on. You just need to purchase a chalk fine point pen to write on tbe labels. Using the. For flour, coffee and sugar. Need to use a small plastic scoop though Opening is not real wide but hand does fit into it.

The quality of the containers is not the best. The glass has many imperfections and is a little thin.The seal around the jar tops is plastic and after one use has already torn. The chalkboard part of it is actually pretty nice however and I was able to write on it quite easily with a regular piece of chalk. One important thing to note, they are not dishwasher safe (according to the box). I would not have ordered them had I known.

The picture did not correct depict this product: It appeared as if the lid and the glass container were all glass--i.e., glass on glass closure without any plastic. Yes, like a laboratory glass container that's sealed by a glass lid that's ground to create a sealing surface without any plastic material. Instead, this is just any regular glass container with a glass lid with a ring of soft plastic around the edge of the lid to create a seal. This will NOT work for anything that produces aromatic oil. An example of something I'd like to store: citrus oil tea leaves. The aromatic oil will eventually eat through the plastic ring.

I suppose it's ok if you are only storing dry goods such as wheat, grains, cookies, etc.

Secondly, the plastic was deformed because the size of the lid and the jar did not exactly mesh. This produced extremely tight/difficult to open lids and the plastics got all squished. It's a sign of bad manufacturing specs. Ultimately and bottom line: very difficult to open lids. I think at least 1 other reviewer mentioned the same thing.

The overall construction of the jars and lids was "OK" and not spectacular. Not $25 spectacular. Maybe $10 spectacular from Walmart or similarly priced locations. The tag was a bit scratched and the overall impression of this product was MUCH better on the PHOTO than in real life.

The difficult to operate mechanism rendered the product a 3-Star (OK grade), but after adding in the workmanship, price,.. this product was downgraded to a 2-Star (Don't Like It).

I was able to fit a 1/4 measuring cup inside with no problems (didn't try anything bigger) as well as my large hands. Jars are not as big as I thought but they do the job for me. Very nice!

I can't believe I paid over $50 for these. They were part of a huge order, so all I can think is that I didn't notice the price. What a ripoff. No chalk included, despite what the description says, which means they'll remain blank for the foreseeable future...don't know where to get chalk around me because I'm not a child or teacher and don't care enough to find out. So without that, they're just plainass glass jars with cheap plastic seals and blank black spots on the front. Woopty doo. They're vaguely cute, but I really wish I would've saved myself the money. Go to a thrift store and get something nearly identical for 1/20th the price.
