Very nice quality for the price. My husband and I are in charge of the Navy Ball this year. So we decided on ordering 120 of these mugs to get customized and handed out at the Navy Ball this year. It shipped all the way up to Anchorage, AK without one chip or crack. I am very impressed with the quality of these and am proud to hand them out at the ball. These would be great for drinking out of or crafts. The only thing is it says don't use for canning, so don't buy these for that. They are excellent quality, especially for the price. You just can't beat it. I highly recommend these mugs.

I'm very pleased with these glasses. I bought them for my daughter-in-law who loves a country feel. They have two small boys so it's important that the glasses are sturdy and easy to hold. The rims are nice and smooth and thin enough to drink comfortably. 16oz. is a good medium size that isn't too heavy for the boys when filled. I just wish they were heat resistant... you could get rid of your coffee/tea mugs if they were! I still gave them a 5 because the heat restriction was clearly stated in the product description. I'm pleased with this product and the honesty in the product description, since that's not always the case.

Well folks, I love these, but I think it will really depend on your age. If your remember back to OLD country songs, before country became 'pop' and rips of Jimmy Buffett, you'll remember lyrics about sittin' on the front porch, sipping moonshine from a mason jar, (or in this case , Libbys) then you will love these. Really brings back old memories. Regarding my comment on age like/dislike, here's an example. I gave a 'set' of them to my oldest friend (60's ) and he was knocked out by them, loved them. I also gave a set to my Son, 33 years old. About two weeks later, I asked if he had washed them up and enjoying them, or were they still in the box wrapped up just as I gave them to him. Yep, they were stored away in the bottom back of some cabinet, and would never see the light of day. To him, they were just a funky stupid looking glass, to my contemporaries, they were with Hank Williams on the front porch! Big difference, same glasses.........

I give them 4 stars due to the fact there is a 'no hot liquid' warning, ie: not a coffee mug. However, they are sturdy, as you can fall off that front porch and not have it break!

These glasses were used as wedding favors. They worked great. I wish they were a little squared. They are more of a round mason jar with no flat sides. We did receive four that were broken and one that was scraped, but out of 200 I didn’t feel that was too bad. I wish that fragile had been on the outside amazon box, but was instead only on the smaller boxes inside. This may have deterred the broken glasses.

These jars are nice. They seem to be made of thick, good quality glass. However, I'm a little disappointed about how small they are. Even though the dimensions were listed, I was expecting them to be bigger. They're easily palmed by an adult, which makes the handle obsolete unless you plan to hang them. They're short. The main component of the jar is the span of my hand. The only portion that doesn't fit in my hand is the mouth of the jar. 16oz of liquid will fill it to the first screw thread (closest to the handle). Again, these jars are great quality. They're just not what I was going for. If I had known how small they were, I would've bought the set without a handle.

They were selling sets at Walmart and Target for much more expensive but I got 12 in this set for a very good price and what I love about these cups is that the handles ARE sealed off. I once bought a set of mason jar mugs from bed, bath, and beyond and the fluid would get stuck in the handle which bothered me as it was unsanitary and impossible to clean! Not these! These are great quality and mason jar lids even fit on top so I can take these on the go!

After reading some scary horror reviews about how terrible these were packaged and arrived in shattered pieces, I was a little leery. However, these glasses arrived perfectly. They were packaged carefully, as shown in my pictures, and arrived in excellent condition. Also, these jars don't have any design on them. The only words printed on them at the very bottom are: 'Not for Home Canning' and 'Not for Hot Products'. They are a nice size and are pretty thick glass (compared to a normal drinking cup that is thin to me). They are the same thickness as my canning jars I use for jam and other like foods. However, these are meant for drinking, not canning as stated on the jar itself. I bought these for entertaining purposes and not necessarily every day use. They are a regular mouth, aka small mouth, lid size. Now I just need to get a lid that a paper straw can fit in, although, I don't think that's a must.

Libbey mason mug was describing as “The smooth sides allow for easy decorating” TWO times —-first in the bullet point and second in the product description.

The photo and enlarged version shows a smooth glass mug.

I ordered these mugs to hand paint them for a baby shower event.

The mugs that came have a RAISED printed font wording - quite visable-along the bottom base of the mug on BOTH sides “NOT FOR HOME CANNING” and the other side “NOT FOR HOT PRODUCTS “

This clearly disputes calling the mug “smooth sides” as it is raised lettering that you can feel on the bottom of the mug. The raised lettering interferes with decorative painting.

I’m very disappointed because I COULD HAVE buy these same mug at half of this price from another vendor I specifically ordered from Amazon- looking at this very description and photos for a clear smooth mug for decorative painting.

This mug and even the printed diagram shipping box disputes that smooth description - I wish the description or photo was honest. I certainly would not paid twice the price on other websites for this same mug, if seller were truthful in disclosung the raised warning notice. BUYERS BEWARE!
