Just save time and buy the best on the market.
Decided to buy it as I could save money and replace the battery when it dies. The battery went out after an year and I ordered replacement battery. Replaced the battery and it did not work. Just buy the Tile and replace it after an year that is the best solution. Saving a few dollars did not work as these tiny things don’t have much life. 😢 sad that my experiment did not work. But good learning.

I'm not sure if the Honey is really giving us what we expected, but I can say that the instructions and explanations of how it works are severely lacking. For something with multiple features, it really should have more information. Sure, dumb it down for the 10% who are truly clueless, but at least half of the people out there are pretty smart and have higher reasoning powers and should be treated as such. So, a thorough explanation of how it works, what each feature does in detail, and what types of variations in the experience should be expected. Too many tech companies think they are 'ahead of the curve' if they come up with a different word for one that is already in common usage... example: they use "claim" when they really should be saying "paired". It's a standard Bluetooth term. No where does it say that a Honey can only be paired with a single app. And "sharing" doesn't mean sharing... it means you can't pair the Honey with *your* app but you can see what the other app does. Or, at least, it seems that way. I don't know for sure since the instructions are very poor. I wanted to 'share' my wife's Honey so I could help her find it if it's lost, but I'm still unsure what my 'share' really does. I'm not connected with it via Bluetooth, so it has to be an Internet connection with her app... but it is via the PeebleBee servers or directly. Yes, they have a lot of FAQs, but most of them could probably have been avoided if there were more information. FAQs should be something that supplements well-written directions/instructions, but just to clarify something. If the FAQs are the primary method of disseminating information, that's ass-backwards. I give it 3 stars because it performs the functions we want. But it shouldn't be so painful to figure it all out. (The irony is, if the documentation had been up to par and overall excellent, I'd have spent my time and efforts extolling the great feature set of the Honey, rather than a long diatribe on how poor documentation sucks.)

A disappointment! Received the product in a perforated metal case. No printed instructions. After opening the case noted a few comments on the face of the metal box that were next to impossible to read.

It said to go to Apple store to find the APP. After repeated tries the store does not recognize Honey Bee but wanted you to buy several dozen other APPS.

Googled it and found the APP for Free. Hooray!

Waded through the steps until it got to start the unit. Didn't appear to start! But is said something about a "Hive" and wanted me to buy more! After several tries with other family members looked for a Help number to call. There was none. Found an e mail and asked for help. Then waited and waited. A person from some country came back and we proceeded to go back and forth. Now several hours have passed. Finally the last message sent said I might need a new battery and they
would send one. I thought of that in the first place!

In the mean time I contacted Amazon and requested a return label which was sent promptly!

Sent it back for full refund.

I intended to order the product, evaluate it and planned to sent a bunch to family members for Christmas gifts. I concluded that was not a good idea.

Maybe the "Honey" is fine for the "Hip Hop" generation but not for this 74 year old Vet. Also disappointed that the range is only 150 feet. GPS takes you all over the world - why not this?

Packaging, range and not user friendly besides poor quality!

This is a cool little device. I put it on my keys. Through the app, you can sound a chime to find your keys or turn on a blinking light on the device, which I found handy when my keys were buried at the bottom of my purse. You can also use the button on the tracker to find your phone, and you will - the alarm is LOUD. The camera feature is especially cool - you can use the tracker to active the camera function and take a picture on iPhone (I have an iPhone 5c). Since it operates via Bluetooth, I was worried about it draining my battery. I turn it off when my keys are nearby, and turn it on when I need to activate the tracker, which seems to work fine without reducing my phone's battery life. This worked well for me last last week when when I wasn't sure if I left my keys in my office bathroom or kitchen. I turned on bluetooth, activated the chime, and found my keys immediately.

The reason I am giving it four stars instead of five is that the instructions for set up and use aren't detailed enough. For instance, you have the ability to set up alerts based on how far away the tracker is from your phone, but those ranges are just described as "getting lost" and "out of range." I would like more specifics, especially since the phone alarm is super loud - I wouldn't want it to go off every time I leave my office for a work meeting without my keys. When I was setting up the device, I kept accidentally setting off alarms because I wasn't sure what the buttons in the app were for. I figured it out after a few tries, but better instructions in the app would make this a 5-star product.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not Buy
Reviewed in India on August 11, 2015
Don`t buy this product in INDIA. they don`t give the following details::
1. requires a continuous 3G signal or WiFi to work properly.(even if you just use in your home without GPS or maps)
2. even if you have 3G, it does not work more then 5-8 feet range.
3. no Range finder (as there web site claims)
4. worst seller support.
5. Return or replacement not covered by Amzon you have to fight for it, the same i am facing.

Overall i don`t think that anyone buy this by thinking a Bluetooth device. Again the app is worst specially if you are android user, don`t know about iphone app.Although it`s website claim for 150 ft working range,it not work for more then 5-8 feet in my case. When i get this, i downloaded the app from android store and the app continuously hang, without 3G the app doen`t work and without app this device have no use.
Also i found that in some cases the app does not show where the device is (Range finder what their web site claim).

But from review`s over the internet (which could be mislead you too) i go ahead and bought this as very few option available in india, but what i got that not only the device is useless i also get the worst response from seller.

1.0 out of 5 stars This device has a miss leading description and it is useless
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on August 4, 2015
This device has a misleading description and video from the company making it, they said the app will alert you when the device get out of range, but it actually don't do that in most times, it only do it when the app is open and in front, which is not the case with my iphone and most people phones, you need this device to alert you anytime and without the need to open the app and keep waiting when it get out of reach.

2 they trick you that it is a GPS tracking device but apparently it is not, when you open the map on the app it show you where device was in its last time been in range with your phone, and it is not a realtime location

3 since it is not a GPS tracking device one of its feature wont work at all, the one when the device get close to pin you drop on map unless the phone is close enough to the device.

4 when the app is not in front and you click the button on the device nothing happen on your phone and that an other functionality don't work too

this device is useless and a waste of money!

This tracker fob is OK, but, not fabulous. If I was to actually lose an item, with this fob attached to it, it would be all by itself and no other user could detect it unless I was in the States. :(

I ended up buying a different brand, it works just OK as well, however, there's a MUCH larger use of this tracking fob in the area I live in.
