Editorial Reviews
Comprised of 12 original tracks, Lindsey Starlings debut album showcases Stirling's signature violin-electronic-dub step style opening with "Crystallize," which became the No. 8 viewed video of 2012 on YouTube and currently averages 700,000 views/weeks. Stirling has already sold over 725,000 songs, several of which have hit the iTunes Top 100 as well as the top of the electronic charts. The album is certified gold in both Germany (100k) and Switzerland. Stirling composes, choreographs, and directs all of her original music and videos merging unique violin stylings and electronic dub-step beats with animated contemporary dance.

I love her music, it always makes me feel good, I have anxiety - not just your normal person anxiety either. I have a high-stress job in which I travel a lot and do IT support for 14 campuses all across California. I don't travel without Lindsey Stirling's songs and I will be buying all her albums/music for years to come. This is one of the first times I enjoyed EVERY song rather than just a few. Of course I have my own favorites but they're all songs I can listen to without turning to the next track. It's feel-good music, it's inspiring and it always gets my blood pumping.
If I could meet her, I would say this; "Thank you for the hard work, the sleepless nights, the stressful days of composing, of writing and of training for years and last but not least - for having the dedication and passion to create this because pure audio ecstasy is hard to find and by God almighty, your music showcases all of that. Thank you for making my days better through music".
Also some people look at me weird when they see/hear me listening to Lindsey and to them I say; "Music has no race, gender, no specific personality it caters to - music is tranquility".
I respect her artistic integrity in that she's not trying to make classical music modern, as though to bring Bach and Mozart to tweens and build her popularity on those broad shoulders. She has created and is polishing art in her own right, art that will appeal both to those who appreciate the technicality and honesty of soul of classical composition, and to the millennial generation raised on processed and pitch-corrected walls of sound. (If the two seem like they should never meet, listen to Tchaikovsky's "Marche Slave" and then listen to an instrumental-only of Muse's "Survival".) Lindsey is comfortable in both worlds, as both versions of "Elements" testify, and melds them together in a fresh and vibrant style.
Dubstep lovers may find themselves pleasantly surprised by the skittering, soaring roller-coaster that a simple violin can weave between the drops. Violin lovers may find half of their brain prompting toe-tapping or head-bopping while the other half resonates with every stroke of the strings.
