Holy crap you guys this book went way left of what I was expecting! I pride myself on being able to predict a story but this one really took me for a ride. First I want to address the physicality in this book. I mean holy crap we see a different side to their relationship and I think it was needed because up till now their relationship hasn’t really been one.Ethan’s attracted to her light and they have a paranormal connection but their physical attraction was only addressed on the surface in the previous books.

And again another underlying aspect becomes our main focus in this book. The plot thickens! Ethan’s corvus decides to come out and play in this book He’s a bit of an ass but I’m glad we finally get to see some progression in that part of the story.Seriously these characters have some deep dimension. The plot has gotten pretty complex, I can follow it but I know that there are some little things that will come up later that I may not remember. Surprisingly, I’m okay with that.

It really became about them in this book. It was so hot. She can write sensuality like no other. It was just so wonderful and deep I could feel them growing as a couple, setting boundaries, dealing with trust issues and just taking time to be together and not worry about the small stuff. It was such a great glimpse into their chemistry of which they had bucketfuls. Great big 50 gallon bucketfuls! ::Fans self:: I need a drink now.

I love this series. I really enjoy the concept and ideas that are so different from any other book I have read. The characters are all very well rounded and I feel like I can really understand them.
I am excited about the progress Inara and Ethan are making towards figuring everything out. I assume that the next book will be packed full of answers, so the fact that this book centered heavily on their relationship didn't bother me.
I was glad to see that the other characters of the series were not forgotten. I'm eager to see what is going on with a certain friend and his involvement in the Corvus world.
Also, I was relieved to see Drystan in this book. I worried at the end of book 3 that he would fade out. I do wish we could see thru his POV as well. He's in an exciting place, London obviously, but also where he is living is very interesting and could be rather insightful to learn more about. Admittedly, I have a soft spot for Drystan. There's still much we do not know about him and his abilities. Hopefully book 5 will deliver.
I recommend this book (the BKoD series) highly.

I love the Brightest Kind of Darkness series. Watching the relationship grow between Ethan and Nara along with the storyline has been exciting. This story is different from most of the popular ones today which are usually vampires, werewolves or zombies. I believe this book, while staying true to its name, has too much sex in it for teenagers to read about with our society in such a moral decline. I would have preferred more storyline like the other books in this series. That is why I gave it four stars. Overall, it is a series worth reading though.

I love the author, P.T. Michelle. I will continue to read her books.

So let me start by saying that if you haven't started this series you should. Now with that out of the way, Desire took me on a full out emotional roller coaster ride, with laughter, frustration, joy, and sadness. In this book we are allowed more into Ethan's Corvus spirits thoughts and actions which is both intriguing and completely terrifying at times. We finally get to know Inara's father a little better and I have to admit I am kind of on the fence with this man, I am not sure I like him but I understand his motives. Ethan and Nara's love is amazing, sizzling even which is what makes reading this book so gut wrenching at times. I have never been so violently mad at the end of a book nor have I wanted the next one so much(I told you roller coaster). P.T. Michelle has delivered an amazing story with amazing characters from start until recent and I for one can't wait to read more.

I love this series and this book is no exception. Always exciting...impossible to put down. I love the characters and watching them change and grow. I love Nara. She is a great strong character with conviction not some wishy washy lovesick puppy or damsel in distress. The writing definitely brings the story to life. You can really feel the emotions of the characters. I got the first book for free not expecting much but this has been one of my favorite series in a while and I read a LOT! I love how Michelle keeps cranking up the intensity. I have been disappointed with a lot of YA series recently that seem to lose steam in the end or become convoluted. I definitely recommend this series.

I have been enjoying this series up to this point, but I was pretty disappointed by Desire. There was a very long wait for this book, so it took me a while to get back into the story and the charterers. The book was VERY short, so by the time I was getting into it, it was over.

Nothing really happens in this book. Ethan and Nara get closer and build their relationship. A few things are learned, but they are learned very easily and conveniently. New 'gifts' are introduced with no explanation, and no one really questioning them.

Desire is much steamier them the other books in the series. I was not bothered by this, since I like a little steam in my books, but I can understand why some people would be . I think authors should keep the same 'rating' in their series books, so that parents don't let their kids start a series that they would not be able to finish.

I also was not happy with the ending. I don't want to give too much away, but I was left feeling like it was a set up for a retelling of the third book. There is the makings of a possible Ethan Nara separation and then Nara will be conveniently going on a class trip to London, where Drysten is. This whole books was about the growing and developing of Nara and Ethan's relationship. I have no interest in going back to an angst filled love triangle for the final book. Nara and Ethan and finally in a good place and I want them to stay that way and solve this together, not separately.

Nara et Ethan nous tiennent en haleine tout le long mais avec cet avant dernier tome apparaissent plus de problème que de solution. Ont souhaiterait enfin comprendre pourquoi ils sont si intimmement connecter, que veut vraiment l'Ordre. Pourquoi le père de Nara revient il si subitement. Mais non on reste en attente avec cette fin un peu surprenante qui donne envie de lire la suite immédiatement.

Just finished this after binge-reading Books1-4 (and the the Ethan prequel). Really enjoying this series, it's slightly different to a lot of the paranormal YA/NA crossover stuff out there at the moment, although I can see influences of other prominent authors in the plot and characters. It's an intriguing story and just when you think you know what's going to happen there's another twist and something else to think about.

Can't wait for Book 5 now - I thought this was the final one so went straight to look for it but can't find anything about a release date for the next one on amazon, authors site or fan pages (yes, I'm VERY impatient, I know) but will definitely be reading to the end of Nara and Ethan's story when it's released.
