Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
As an exfoliant this sugar scrub is great, it really left my skin feeling smooth, but as other reviewers have mentioned, this tends to leave you feeling sticky. I would always rewash the area with regular soap afterwards which helped with the stickiness. Also the smell is sickly sweet and very overwhelming while using (although it fades substantially leaving only a light pleasant perfume behind).
Cons: Leaves your skin feeling very dry. It was sticky after I rinsed it initially, so I rinsed again but did not use soap to get the film off. After all, isn't the film/oil in a body scrub supposed to leave you feeling moisturized? That is what I do with other body scrubs. Nope. I felt so dry and awful I had to shower again at the end of the day to get the stuff off my legs. I hate throwing out product and will use almost anything until it's done. Not this. Went straight to the trash.

I love a lot of the honest baby products but this scrub leaves you sticky. I'm a big fan of sugar scrubs and this is the first that made me want to hop back in the shower and scrub it off! It smells delicious though.

I have eczema and it is very hard to treat. This product left me feeling soothed, and I thoroughly enjoyed the aroma. I can see how it might not be for everyone, but it certainly did the job for me.
I'm wondering if they had a manufacturing snafu? I don't see how any objective person could say this smells nice. For me it was shockingly horrible, like dead fish and rancid oil, making me wonder if they had left out the lavender and vanilla? Or got a bad batch of sea salt?
I'm all for salt scrubs, but not for smelling like the actual ocean mixed with a hint of garbage dump.
I have never written a review on Amazon before but after using this product I felt compelled to warn others how awful it smells and I can't get the smell off of me. The closest thing I can compare it to (other than rancid fish as another reviewer described) is old musty basement. It's just horrible.
