First of all, let me say that more cards arrived than I thought would. Don't let the stock image fool you--there are three packs of what would be a standard stack of index cards. I don't understand the other reviews that say that they are flimsy. They are definitely not as thin as a sheet of paper.
Also, the cards are bright. I'm talking highlighter bright. That's good for flash cards and since they come in 4 different colors, you can separate your topics. I have finals coming up in a couple of weeks and this is what I'll be using to study for them.
I tried a bunch of different pens, markers, highlighters, and pencils to see if any of them would bleed through to the other side and the only thing that did was a Sharpie. But then again, it's a Sharpie, and Sharpies can go through poster boards if they wanted to. I can't see through the cards standing but if you hold them up to a light you can see through them.
All and all they are good, sturdy index cards. Would recommend if you want some bright cards for studying.
