    Product Description

    Amazon.com

Crafted with a distinct zero-gap aluminum unibody, the HTC One is ready to reshape your smartphone experience with a live home screen that streams all of your favorite content, a photo gallery that comes to life, and dual frontal stereo speakers. This 4G LTE-enabled smartphone runs Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), which combines with HTC Sense to create an amazing mobile experience that's been re-imagined from the ground up.

The HTC One ensures you're never out of touch with your world (view larger).

The HTC One's full metal body features a slim, solid construction with tapered edges for a satisfying grip, and it's complemented by a brilliant 4.7-inch Full HD 1080p display that resists scratches and reduces glare. It's powered by a 1.7 GHz quad-core processor, and it's packed with 32 GB of storage and 2 GB of RAM for excellent multitasking.

HTC UltraPixel Camera with HTC Zoe: Your Photos Brought to Life

The HTC UltraPixel Camera redefines how you capture, relive, and share your most precious moments. With this innovative camera technology, you'll be able to quickly shoot vivid, true-to-life images with a wide range of colors, even in low light conditions -- it lets in 300 percent more light, enabling you to take photos indoors without a flash. And this is accomplished not by increasing the number of megapixels in the camera, but by engineering a more advanced CMOS Sensor, ISP, and optical lens system that captures significantly more light than most 8 or 13 megapixel cameras.

With HTC Zoe mode, press the shutter and the HTC One automatically captures up to 20 photos and a 3-second video -- including the last second of images before you tapped the picture button. It can also create a 30-second Zoe Highlight film from each event comprised of Zoes, photos, and videos with professionally designed cuts, transitions, and effects -- just ad your choice of pre-loaded soundtrack. These highlight videos can be remixed or set to different themes, and can be easily shared on social networks, email, and other services.

Multi-axis optical image stabilization for the rear camera also helps ensure video footage smoother whether stationary or on the move. Other features and effects include enhanced 360-degree panorama, time sequencing, and object removal. Self portraits and video are also easily captured via the front-facing camera, which supports 1080p video capture.

HTC BlinkFeed: A Personal Live Stream on Your Home Screen

At the heart of the HTC One experience is HTC BlinkFeed, which transforms your home screen into a single live stream of the things that are most important to you --from sports and technology to games and fashion and even your favorite social network feeds. It's all customized by you, and it's constantly updated live.

To see more detail, just tap on any item in your HTC BlinkFeed to view text, pictures and videos, and then share it with just a couple more taps. HTC provides both local and global content from more than 1,400 media sources with more than 10,000 articles per day from a wide variety of media sources.

Where to begin on the HTC One that hasn't been posted by countless consumer and professional reviewers??? Well, I'll basically reiterate what everyone has said.Let's start with the exterior: there is no better built phone on the market, period. No better feeling Windows phone, Blackberry, iPhone and ESPECIALLY Android phone. No matter what you pay for the phone, expect it to feel like a million bucks in the hand from the aluminum unibody construction. Every millimeter of the HTC One is crafted with care and precision manufactured with lasers, under the eye of elder metallurgists. Or at least I'd like to think that.Along the top edge of the phone is a 3.5mm combination headset/microphone jack towards the right and the power button/IR blaster on the left. Yes, you can program the phone to control your stereo, TV or any other infrared receivable item. Along the right edge is the volume rocker that has a really cool design on it that makes it easy to find when not looking at it. The bottom edge has your man microphone and micro USB 2.0 port. No micro HDMI. And along the left edge, you have the pin hole SIM ejector and the flush SIM card slot. The front of the phone has the display, 2 capacitive buttons (back and home), a front facing camera, light and proximity sensors along with your stereo Boomsound speakers. The back has your secondary, noise cancelling microphone and your main camera with flash. All specs to be explained below:- 4.7" 1080p Super LCD3 display with 468 pixels per inch (ppi)- Snapdragon 600 Quad-core processor rated at 1.7 GHz, mated with the Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB of LPDDR2 RAM- 2MP front facing camera with a wide angled lens, capable of 1080p video recording and HDR photos- 4.1MP UltraPixel camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and single LED flash- 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wifi- Bluetooth 4.0- NFC (Near-field Communication)- Capacitive touchscreen with up to 10 touch points- 2300 mAh Lithium-polymer battery- 2G/3G/4GLTE (Sprint only at 1900MHz frequency)- 32GB internal storage (26GB useable)If you're still undecided after seeing the specifications, I'll get into the cons:- Short battery life for ultra-heavy users w/o powersaver mode- Slow to charge from PC and 12V from car.- 4.1MP maximum resolution doesn't capture enough detail- Screen is too bright in a dark room with 0% brightness- Proximity sensor reads false positives often with skin oils left behind- Beats Audio limits maximum speakers' volume when engaged- No kickstand (coming from HTC EVO 4G LTE)Most these are nitpicking from a tech enthusiast like me and can easily be avoided or mitigated. Now, the pros:- Wonderful screen with excellent viewing angles- Quick speed from app to app with GREAT multitasking- Best Android overlay in the business. Clearly Android with many things to enhance your experience- BlinkFeed is by far the best software addition to Android any hardware manufacturer has added to it- Out of the box with Android 4.1 JellyBean with HTC Sense 5.0, Android 4.3 with HTC Sense 5.0 available with immediate update- UltraPixel camera captures better low light images than any other phone on the market- Boomsound is the best hardware addition to any phone, by anyone. Speakers are loud, clear and are placed perfectly- Build quality is unparalleled- Easily customizable with different custom ROMs, thanks to HTC's easy to unlock bootloader at htcdev.com- Zoe is cool and more functional than people give it credit for- No feature wasted that was packaged in HTC Sense, versus Samsung Galaxy S4- Sense keyboard is rather exceptional, as stock keyboards goI'd recommend this phone to anyone and I have. I've gotten 6 people to get some variant of the HTC One and each person loves it, as do I. And with prices at $50 or less for a 2-year contract (as of 1/4/2014), getting such a powerhouse is a no brainer! My own recommended list, without any order, are as such:- HTC One- HTC One Max- Samsung Galaxy Note 3- LG G2- Google/LG Nexus 5 (recommended to get 32GB version from Google Play)- Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition- Moto X

Great phone for the most part, but it definitely has some flaws I'm sure they fixed with the M8. It gets extremely warm when charging which tells me there is a large amount of energy that's either being wasted or there is too much for the phone to handle. The paint or whatever the cheap stuff is that covers it wears out after a couple months and begins to scratch. I just dropped it for the very first time after all this time of having it and the screen just shattered practically (Guess they are making their screens like Apple now).

It's thin, smooth, looks good, the audio is great, the feel is great, fits in all my pockets nicely, buttons are small but work good, camera quality is nice, and the phone seems to run nice in general.

I have had HTC phones for the past five years now and have had no problems. I started with the HTC Evo 3D, and it lasted me until I got the HTC One. I dropped my Evo 3D more times than I can even attempt to count and yet the screen never shattered. The battery lasted me almost four years. Really the only problem I ran into was memory. I get the HTC One and after only a few months of owning it the battery is already failing, it's over heating, the paint is chipping off, my screen shattered, but I have enough memory now! Oh and my Evo 3D is stilling kicking and is being used by my brother.

Note: I purchased the phone on November 28, 2016 and received it in a timely manner. So, at the writing of this review, I've had the phone for nearly 8 whole months. Immediately upon purchasing this item, I installed a screen protector and a two-piece protection cover similar to OtterBox. No damage from water or falls have been responsible for the compromised functioning of the phone. This review would've been two stars, but Amazon strictly advises packaging reviews to be posted elsewhere. The remaining star is out of necessity and will be attributed HTC BRAND LOYALTY.

Appearance: The phone was advertised "Like New," in the seller shop and I am in agreement with its appearance upon receipt. Aside form a few hair-thin nicks, the device is flawless.
Activation: First obstacle: There was a Sprint profile already installed on the device under another number. I had to call Sprint to have them wipe the number and activate with my number. Sprint allows you to activate devices at any time on their website, but this particular phone had to be wiped from corporate. I was not pleased.
Use: Terrible. I owned another phone of the exact make and model previously and it worked flawlessly DESPITE being dropped SEVERAL times and having a cracked screen. THIS phone, however, and as to be expected with refurbished phones, has terrible operational issues.
    - Screen Responsiveness: There are times when I begin to unlock the phone and once my screen pattern is entered, the phone will take so long to unlock that the screen will turn back off. I can scroll through messages when the screen will suddenly stop registering touch and turn off.
    - UI: Again, terrible. Despite having 1/3rd storage left on the phone, apps take forever to open/process requests, the keyboard often sticks, the Home button takes at least 3-5 seconds to respond and hide apps.
.EVEN THE ***STOCK*** MESSAGING APP BEGAN TO FORCE CLOSE CONSTANTLY IF I TYPED TOO FAST ON THE ON-SCREEN KEYBOARD.
.Recording video? Better not try to record anything over 30sec-1 minute. Anything beyond that and the video saves itself as a corrupt file that cannot be opened on ANY platform. And yes, this causes issues with Snapchat and Instagram. More to this issue, when ending a video, it can take anywhere from 1minute+ for it to automatically save to phone.
.Answering a call? Sure, just hit the answer button and wait about 3-5 seconds for the call to actually connect. But press the button JUST the one time or you'll immediately hang up on that insurance adjuster you'd been desperate to hear from for two days.
.Streaming Clash Royale or other online games? Lag. Lag which has nothing to do with your Internet connection, because the aforementioned phone I own of the same make and model that you own can connect to Wifi and play seamlessly. Also on the note of streaming, audio for closed apps will occasionally keep playing unless you force close the app through the settings or quick-access menu.
-Data: Again, terrible. I have to manually toggle the data activation button to refresh the data connection.
-Charging/battery: Take a guess... I don't begrudge battery life vs. usage on Android phones--it comes with the territory. However, never in my LIFE have I seen a phone shut off without warning anywhere between 48% and 15%. I've also recently found that the phone can be charged while off for over and hour and read the same percentage, but once turned on it will notify of a full battery. Finally, while charging the phone, it becomes hot unless I sit it in front of my floor fan or hold it up to my a/c vent in the car.

All in all I put my prejudices for refurbished phones aside to purchase this device and STILL got burned. I had a good run for a little while, but those moments were gone all too soon. I do NOT fault the company for selling a device that is, by name and upfront, a terrible nightmare. Unless you need a quick fix for a short amount of time, I generally wouldn't recommend buying refurbished phones. I am currently saving my coins to buy new through my service provider.
