Ich habe zwei Stative. Mit dem einen kann ich auch Bilder in Bodennähe machen.
Doch es gibt Situationen, da möchte man kein sperriges Stativ mit sich herumtragen. Durch die Lektüre eines Fotobuches bin ich auf diese Variante eines "Bohnenkissens" gestoßen und habe mir gesagt, das probiere ich aus. Durch die am Rand angebrachte Schraube ist das Kissen für mein Kamera mit Telezoomobjektiv bis zu 300 mm gut zu handhaben.
Bei der Größe ist es klar, dass der Einsatz mit einem Profiteleobjektiv nicht möglich ist (der Durchmesser des Kissens beträgt ca. 12 cm). Der Einsatz mit einem Sigma 70-300mm DG OS ist problemlos möglich, und da haben wir es mit einer Länge von ca. 25 cm (Zomm auf 300mm, Canon 500d) zu tun! Die Kamera liegt stabil auf dem Kissen - man muss es sehen, um es zu glauben. Daher habe ich ein paar Bilder eingestellt, die zeigen, wie eine Kamera auf dem Kissen aussieht.
Das Kissen lässt sich wunderbar justieren. Selbst eine Bank- oder Stuhllehne können herhalten, um die Kamera aufzustellen.

Auch habe ich das Kissen schon genutzt, um mit einer Canon Powershot G12 Videoaufnahmen zu machen. Habe die Kamera aufgesetzt und konnte so das Kissen als Puffer an eine Holzbalken nutzen, an dem ich die Kamera mit dem Trageriemen aufgehängt habe.

Vorteil von the green pod:
- leicht (ca. 350 g)
- passt in die (große)Hosentasche
- Füllung kann bedarfsgerecht erhöht oder verringert werden (Klettverschluss, Kunststoffgranulat)
- Wasserfeste Unterseite, so dass Kamera auf feuchtem Untergrund plaziert werden kann
- sehr flexibel: kann in Astgabeln oder auf Lehnen plaziert und ausbalanciert werden.
- angemessener Preis

Nachteil von the green pod:
- Stativschraube ist fest. Daher muss man beim Einschrauben der Kamera etwas aufpassen, um den den richtigen Winkel zu finden und das ganze Kissen drehen. Doch mit ein bisschen Übung geht das auch problemlos.

Wer auf der Suche für einen Stativersatz für unterwegs ist, kann auf the green pod zurückgreifen. Ich habe den Kauf nicht bereut und nutze das Kissen immer wieder oder habe es einfach dabei, für alle Fälle, auch wenn ich es dann doch nicht brauche...
