Best known for her sexy, small-town romances, her debut novel, Sweet Addiction, was first published in 2014 and went on to become an international bestseller. Since then, she has published more than fifteen novels, including the Dirty Deeds series with Forever Romance.

Daniels grew up in Baltimore and currently lives in Maryland with her husband and three kids. BIG sigh...I can't believe its over! THIS DUET (technically a trilogy but 3rd book is about Brooke) REALLY touched me! I freaking loved the mix of passion, laughter, love, hurt and FREAKING FIRE they gave. This particular book was a build on the love Dylan and Reese had, they met some more bumps in the road but also discovered even more levels of love for each other. Of course we also got updated on the friend group and that was amazing as well!
Piper Goodeve was a really great narrator too! I said it before and her inflection is perfect when she was doing Reeses' role vs Dylans and I love them both. I only had a few moments of Jeremy Arthur in the Epilogue so don't want to judge too harshly but he sounded a bit old to be playing Reese...or at least the way I envisioned Reese in my head so there is that.
I love the idea of love and growth and hope and wonder. This book delivered it all. I smiled and laughed and felt a little light to boot. I've already purchased both physical books in this duet (trilogy) and am following her to make sure I'm in the know going forward for anything new.
Overall, this was an amazing read/journey. I loved EVERY minute of it. Kept my attention all the way through and a bonus, LISTENING instead of reading chapter 25 is the way to go! There are SO many emotions! Happy tears, romantic ones, so much stinking heart squeezes that my little black one wants to burst! I laughed & cried, then fanned the HECK out of myself from the massive amount of steam 🤬💦🌶🔥🔥😬🥵 and all of THAT was just chapter 25 alone! I just happened to be listening to that part & not reading. So glad I was!! Endeared this series to me even more! I want more guys! Hoping we get more updates in Brookes book!!

Love Doesn't Even Begin to Describe My Feelings for these Books

Amazon wanted me to read Sweet Addiction. I mean really, really wanted me to read it.
And I was all, “But I’ve got all these books in my TBR, plus all these other books that I have to read for review,”
Then Amazon, was like – “poor you – read this book – it’s got a pretty cover. And it has cupcakes, you like cupcakes.”
Of course I was, “Not liking cupcakes is Un-American. Oh and pretty sugared lips – okay.”
Then Amazon said, “You know…..You can't have one without the other, so you while you are there, you should probably go ahead and get Sweet Possession.”

So I one-clicked and then clicked again. The rest is as they say, is history. Because these books gobsmacked me. They are funny, sweet and sexy. God, are they sexy. That they enchanted me might be an understatement. I fell hard for Dylan Sparks and Reese Carroll. Very hard.

So you have a hot wedding hook-up and all the hilarity that ensues. The circumstances around the wedding itself made this completely poetic. From the moment they laid eyes on each other, the reader is in as deep as these characters -- Which I just loved. Dylan is feisty as all get out and though I loved her spirit, she probably got lucky not to be cuffed more often (and not in the really good way you are thinking about right now). But her heart is usually in the right place, though she expends a lot of energy trying to protect it from Reese.

And Reese? I wanted more of him. I wanted his POV. Though I think we get a really good glimpse into his mind – I am kind of greedy and wanted more of his words and thoughts. Because seriously -- not even joking that his mouth should be bronzed. I am not sure what I like most about Reese – is it that he went from zero to alpha in the blink of an eye? Or that you knew from the outset that he was going to use whatever means necessary to win Dylan? He was magic. I honestly believe that Reese could easily stand shoulder to shoulder with any of the big boys on your book boyfriend list.

I am trying really hard not to give anything away here. I’ve told you that I loved the books and the characters. Did I mention that I read both books within 24 hours? How about that these books had so many amazing moments that I might have almost cried a couple of times? And I don’t often cry at books.

I’ve been talking about this series, but I really want to say this -- The last 93 pages of Sweet Possession were the biggest, prettiest red bow on the gift of these two books. I really do love a wedding story and J. Daniels wrote a glorious one for Dylan and Reese. Really, I am not going to give anything away – I swear. But so good. So, so, so damn good.

J. Daniels, I believe you have found your way to my phone book list. You are in good company.

Well!! Dirty talking accountant, Reese is back with a vengeance! He can melt the panties off of anyone with a working libido. The man has a damn gift. Please don't kill me die-hard Sweet Addiction series fans (because Sweet Addiction was my first love into this world of delicious good fun of erotic novels) but this book didn't give me as much as the first did. I still liked it, just not enough to give it 5 stars and be in complete awe of it. Let's go over why..

1. Reese is a sexy beast who can talk any woman out of her panties, and he didn't let up in this book either. Dylan is a spunky, sassy hot little baker who challenges the hell out of Reese and he loves her for that. In this book I feel she lost a little of her spark, which made me sad because she is a favorite heroine of mine. Anyways, besides my sadness due to Dylan's lack of "umphh", they're conversations with each other are a lot more relaxed and you can see how comfortable they are with each other. I liked that part a lot, it made their conversations more fun and sexy.

2. This book is all about the 10 days until the wedding. I didn't even know you could pack so much drama into 10 days before a wedding. It was just too much. There came some times in the book that I was just passing the inner thoughts of Dylan and skipping to dialogue. Maybe because in this book Dylan was over thinking a lot of things. Thank god for Joey and Brooke in this one. They have an amazing way of keeping me entertained with all of their banter and sweetness towards each other near the end. I'm hoping there are more books involving them in the future!

3. As everyone else has stated, yes there was a crap load of sex in this book. Which I'm all for anytime, not shy about it over here. But something about the intimate scenes in this book weren't doing it for me like the Sweet Addiction did. Kinda weird, in fact the entire book didn't keep me as enthralled as the first one. That's probably the overall reason I gave it four stars, instead of five like Sweet Addiction.

Overall, I still enjoyed it and would recommend it. This is my opinion and I'm OK if you don't agree with it.

Such an amazing book that I couldn't put down. Dylan and Reese are back and as lovely dovey as ever, with their amazing chemistry is explosive and sexy as sin as ever. The two are finally tying the knot in a few days and besides their mothers fighting over table napkins everything seems to be going well. Too reveal the stress Reese decides to invite Dylan and the gang on a weekend getaway to New Orleans. Time to get their party on. The two's relationship blossoms with special surprises , secrets moments and good times with family and friends. When it comes to the big day and they finally become man and wife it was so sweet that I nearly balled my eyes out and the ending was simply perfect. Such a great book that I adored and couldn't stop laughing at there antics, I would definitely recommend this book to people who love sassy women, crazy friends who always have your back and a sexy Alpha Male who you just want to stink your teeth into.

For someone who doesn't like series (I like reading a book knowing there's an end, a good positive end) this series is a must read for anyone who wants to laugh out loud, great romance! I don't know why but I had to read the next book after Sweet Addiction. J.Daniels is again entertaining us with the next step in Dylan and Reese's relationship. I of course love the relationship between these two lovebirds but love the relationship between the three best friends and what happens in each others lives.
