Get ReadyTake your reading at the same time every day. Avoid exercising, bathing, eating, smoking, and drinking alcohol or caffeinated beverages for 30 minutes prior. Ideally, rest 15 minutes before you begin. Your results are automatically stored your readings so you can share them with your doctor later. |
Take Your PositionSit in a comfortable chair with your feet flat on the floor. Rest your arm on a table with your palm facing upward. Slide the cuff on your wrist and fasten. Blue and orange indicator lights help you guide your wrist to heart level. When the blue light appears, your wrist is at heart level and the monitor automatically activates. |
Monitor Your ReadingThe portable design offers quick, silent inflation so measurements can be taken discreetly and conveniently. Track systolic, diastolic and pulse readings on the go. The Movement Error Symbol displays if you move your body during the measurement. Just remove the wrist cuff, wait 2-3 minutes, and try again. |

My dentist had one of these and it always gave readings that agreed with my arm cuff device so I decided to give this a try.
It works very well and returns accurate readings as verified by comparison to my arm cuff device that had been calibrated against my doctor's meter.
Once I put it on my wrist backwards and got a very high reading. It must be put on so that the meter is on the underside of your wrist.
The data transfer process is very good. Its nice that the device stores up readings so I don't have to deal with transferring data every time I measure my BP.
The software for my phone (android) is fine. It averages data on any given day for plotting but the individual data points are maintained in the list of readings.
The only negative I have to offer on this device is that the band is way too long for my wrist so there is always a big flap of fabric hanging off the cuff when its in use. Also the percentage of the hook and loop type velcro that end up overlapping is relatively small. Im 6 feet tall and weigh over 200 lbs. Someone with a smaller wrist might have a problem getting the cuff to close adequately.
In the winter time I used to take my BP less often with the arm cuff since it usually involved taking off a sweater. I found that taking a reading through clothes gave erroneous readings. With the wrist cuff I dont have to worry about taking off my sweater.
The device like I said, is small, takes 2 batteries AAA (I'd rather to use AAs) instead. It is said you can take 300 measurements with one set of fresh AAAs but that's something to be seen.
Wish list: make it use AAs, put a backlit display, add a USB port to make it upgradable (for those who cannot connect to the phone)
My biggest selling point: 100 memories and average.
Ok, adding to the review:
When I installed the Onrom app, it detected and connected to the unit. I am actually impressed by the app, graphs and how smooth it went. I have a T-Mobile Samsung Note 4 with Android 6.0.1.
And two other annoyances I didn't see at first because there was no data:
1) once you start scrolling the memories, there is no "back" button: it's just forward (so, "c-" grade for usability)
2) I cannot definitely make sense of the "Average" as it is showing only the last reading: sure, the "average" symbol is there, but it is displaying the last reading ! Maybe I should return this thing while I still have time :-P
