CD that Barbra Streisand has ever sang, produced & you know she as always gets the BEST writers. I wouldn't be surprised if she wasn't a co- writer. The song selection fabulous the chosen celebrities some well known singers some NOT eg Alec Balldwin Her duet with the incredible Anthony Newley was as an amazing Duet was match for match two outstanding singers. Mr Newley was & is in fine vocal shape matching in phrasing & in height Ms Streisand. I love their Duet!! I loved Seth McFarlane & Jamie Fox was terrific as well but I wish he could once in his musical life sing it Straight instead of infiltrating his HIP HOP Vibe. He is a good singer look he performed Ray Charles in the AWARD Winning movie RAY & he won an Oscar for his portrayal. His Duet at the end thankfully ended fantastic. Band eras was Terric too. I saw him on Broadway several years ago in the Musical NINE OMG I knew he was & is a very talented actor, but so surprised by his singing talent. Well no matter the person even Melissa McCarthy did well a very funny exchange between them. And I loved the opening At the Ballet Just terrific & even that gorgeous voice of Bradely Cooper just made it perfect. And then what can you say about Hugh Jackson & Ms Barb singing together. I saw Hugh Jackson along with my dear Sister who passed away this past Oct 6 2015 & of all the Musicals we have seen together here in NzyC . I have lived here since 1968, BOY OF OZ was by far an unforgettable show & his performance was still impeccable & one I will never forget especially with the special memory of seeing it with my Dearly loved Sister. So hearing him (love his voice), made for a 5 Star Review. I don't think by the tremendous success of h
This Duet CD Ms Streisand & her producing team will NOT provide us with a FOLlOWUP CD ..... PLEASE MS Streisand! You will NOt be disappointed one minute The only objection I have it was way too short. It offered ONLY 9 Selections instead of the usual 12-14 Rnjoy!! You are going to LOVE Barbra's Duet CD "Encore."

Love this album. The only reason I give 4 stars is because of some of the choices and quality of her partners.
That being said, Barbra and Patrick Wilson soar on "Loving You." And the choice of Sondheim's "Take me to the World" is great. I was introduced to this song quite a long time ago and it is thrilling to hear it here. Brava, as always, Ms. Streisand!!!
Once again, Streisand and company delight this listener with all of the selections. One can go through each and every tune on the album and most likely will pick out if not every song but a few highlights that left a lasting impression. Of the 10 songs, the opener shuffles with vivid imagination similar to an opening scene out of A Chorus Line, especially with “At the Ballet” (with Anne Hathaway and Daisy Ridely), “Anything You Can Do (w/ Melissa McCarthy) while listening to “Pure Imagination” with Seth MacFarlane one can close their eyes and hear a bit of Robert Goulet or any crooner of the 1960s echo in MacFarlane’s vocals, and then there are the two epic and nostalgic melodies that are indeed impeccably done, the tear-jerker “I’ll Be Seeing You/I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face”(w/Chris Pine) and “Climb Ev’ry Mountain” (w/Jamie Foxx).
As the title of the album radiates, Barbara Streisand performs with her utmost best and worthy of an encore. The entire set of songs possesses the energy of a live show and the interplay between performers.

Und besonders „I didn't know what time it was“ von Richard Rodgers, gehört mit zum Besten was Streisand jemals aufgenommen hat. Teil des Zitates: „ She makes our musical world a much happier place, than it was before“.
