Seem well made. I replaced a broken one on a Casio keyboard which failed from constant use. No problem fitting the slots on the board. Will so how it holds up.
These little sockets are 5/16 inch deep leaving 1/4 inch exposed metal plug hanging outside the socket. This is understandable considering the shortage of very expensive plastic in the world. Other than that they are not the ones in the picture but some kind of cheaper substitute I guess.
Don not fit - lose 1 star Not the same as the ones in the picture ( Just out of unruliness I guess ) - lose 1 star Conduct electricity - 4 stars
I cut the ends off of half of them and glued them to the front of the other five. Now the contacts have better protection from the hell going on outside of them. I will order ten more to make a full set of ten. Sadly It will take another month and likely fail my science project. But It is not the destination but the road traveled right? I think I am beginning to understand this teaching of TOOGOO. I will give five stars. Thank you so much.
For price and quantity can't argue with this deal. After searching around town for this item I'm glad I was able to find it here. The description page could use a little more info as far as the specs for this item like the voltage limits/range. It work well on an amplifier box that needed the power socket replaced. I have extras for when the one wears out and for any other projects that may require replacing this little devil.
I used this connector to replace the same kind of power input on an exteral hard drive case I wanted to repair and continue using. The new connector was a perfect match to the old one which had shorted out. Desoldered the old connector out and then resolder this new one in... external drive repaired and now works perfectly
Pretty standard power receptacle. Quality looks fine. Haven't used them in hard service or anything but they look pretty much like you find everywhere.
I got this pack of 10 from Amazon for the price of 2 + shipping at digikey. I kind of wish there was a smaller package because I wanted 1 spare and now I have 9 spare after fixing my keyboard. The replacement works flawlessly and solder sticks to the terminals just fine.
