Inaccurate from start. Tested with two 2.5lb drum bells. Each drum according to accuweight weights ~2.7lb and when both put together on the scale weight become 4.15lb.This scale going back

I got this scale about 5 months ago and it's great. The tare toggle is great for one bowl meals like salads.My only issue is the display will go out of site if the dinner plate is too big and ill have to measure on a smaller plate unless you are meal prepping in one small container. The different units come in handy for more accurate measurements of lighter items.

Quick and short. My wife needed to be able to divide baking dough in half. I tested the scale at center with a 4 oz weight from a balance scale. It is right on. I tested it off center and next to the edge. I never got a reading more than .1 oz difference and that was close to the edge. It does not use button batteries. It does not shut off too soon. You can turn it off. When turned on it takes just a second or two calibrate. Tare recalibrate is quick. Surface is large and flat, just right for my wife’s need. It has real buttons and not the touch switches that falsely switch proper operation on some scales. It has enough heft that indicates this it is not a light weight piece of junk.
Update: 4/27/2016 It is still on it's first set of batteries. Not one problem has showed up.

I bought weights to verify the accuracy of this scale. I have another scale that always registered one or two grams different than this scale. I wanted to see which scale was the most accurate. This is the one that won. But the other scale was also very accurate, too.

I learned that these type of scales are not always accurate when adding or subtracting a little bit of weight at a time. For example, when it comes to measuring flour, to be sure you have an accurate weight, you first have to remove the flour you just weighed from the bowel on the scale. Then you need to tear for the weight of the bowel. Then you need to reweigh flour by adding it all at once to the bowel on the scale. You are supposed to use the "tear" function to zero-out the scale before you use it, than add all the flour at once to a bowel, not incrementally.

Purchased Sept 2016. NOW DEAD! This scale was perfect until it died, it lasted LESS than 6 months, because I kept forgetting to get fresh batteries. However, once I did get the new batteries--NOTHING HAPPENED. DEAD! This is an inexpensive product at $12, but it still should work longer than this, the one I had before this one lasted YEARS.

Save you money on this one, there are numerous similar products here on Amazon--get one of those.

So far very accurate. Only complaint is that the white version is only actually white on the bottom. The top is still black glass. If battery life is an issue, I would be inclined to drop the rating, but it takes AAAs, which is better than the small button cells or hard to find, expensive lithium batteries.
