This is the third book in the King series and is the first of two books that will tell Bear’s and Thia’s story. Their conclusion, Soulless, has now been released so you can finish this one and move straight to the next without missing a beat.
We first met Bear in King and Tyrant and I couldn’t wait to get his story. Bear was raised in the Beach Bastard’s MC and expected to eventually take his father’s place as president. When one of his closest friends needs him, Bear is forced to make a choice. He chooses his civilian friends over the MC and is forced to leave that life behind. After the terrible event with Eli, the death of Preppy and the loss of his MC, Bear leaves town a broken man who loses himself in alcohol, drugs and women.
Thia met Bear seven years earlier when he made a promise to help her if she ever needed him. When the unthinkable happens at her home, Thia believes Bear will know what to do and goes to the MC looking for him. She’s beaten and nearly raped before someone gets her out. Bear comes back to town planning to take care of her and then move on. Yet, when Bear sees Thia again all grown up, he feels an instant connection and protectiveness of her he’s never felt before. Bear knows that if he stays, the MC will kill him. Just how far is he willing to go to help Thia?
Bear is hot! He’s totally bada$$ so watching him fall for the sweet little Thia with the fiery personality was so much fun. The big ones always fall the hardest and boy did he fall. Both Bear and Thia are great characters and so easy to read. We also get more King and Ray and it was great seeing them doing so well and happy in their lives. Even though we lost Preppy, we get flashbacks of memories with he, King and Bear together and we also see he’s still slinging around his opinion in their thoughts.
The events of the cliffhanger I didn’t see coming, so I’m glad I waited to read this until the conclusion was released so I could keep right on reading. Great series and great story.

She is so brilliant and I could read her books 100+times and never get tired of them. I don't know how she does it... such masterpieces! Every. Last. Bear is my most favorite Alpha in the King Series and this book has carved a very special place for him in my heart! I loved being inside the minds of Bear and Thia. They are my favorite couple (other than Jake and Abby of course). Anyways, this is NOT your typical love story. It's dark and gritty, violent and beautifully raw. It's heart-poundingly intense, action-packed, fast passed and it's hella steamy 😍😘😉!!!This was impossible to put down, it's just so gripping and I'm always at the edge of my seat. I can't get enough of these broken characters and the roller coaster of emotions it takes me down. It has... All. The. FEELS!! I love the way Frazier tells each story, the writing is some of the best and the worldbuilding is ever-expanding and the characters... Well, the characters are all outstanding.Bear just has this way about him, he drew me into his web before I even knew what was happening. And here I am, I have fallen bad for this BAD*** biker but that's not really a surprise lol I have ALWAYS had a thing for bikers. They are so HOT, don't judge me. Bear is BEAUTIFUL!! Then you have Thia, I love her so much! She is strong and defiant, brave and true, and she doesn't take Bears crap that's for sure. Thia is a little bad*** in a little package. She is full of life and has a childlike excitement about her that totally knocks bear to his knees.
