Reunited with the Rebel Billionaire (Bayou Billionaires Book 3) Kindle Edition
New Orleans football star Henri Reynaud won’t let his career go down without a fight. If the only way to win is to reconcile with his estranged wife, he’ll do what it takes. But spending time with Fiona Harper-Reynaud isn’t just some ruse. The sultry beauty belongs in his bed.
Fiona doesn’t know where her sexy husband’s public act ends and his real feelings begin. Can she afford to fall a second time for the man who was twice chosen for the honor of “Hottest Athlete of the Year” —the man every female wants? Worse yet, is he motivated only by a sense of duty after she survived a serious illness—an illness that could return any day?
But for all Fiona’s doubts, one thing is undeniable—their attraction has never flared hotter . . .

I basically liked the book because the fears that keep holding Fiona are very clearly defined and relatable, especially as I have an aunt who is a cancer survivor, almost ten years back, but she has still not gone past the "fear" stage. So the fears etc seemed very real to me. And the self realisation part, is very hopeful.
Henri is too good to be true, but this is a HEA romance novel and that is definitely expected.
I enjoyed the way the couple each tried to figure how to fix what was broken, it felt believable to me.
Henri is a famous football player who is dedicated to breaking the cycle that his father began. He has a team of friends and family depending on him on the field. Little does he know that the most important person to him is keeping a secret, a secret that sends him to the brink of repeating that cycle. Henri turns to his brothers and their significant others to help break through to Fiona. In an ironic twist, Henri’s Grandfather who is slowly succumbing to alzhymeirs is the one who can see the real truth. When a guest at one of Fiona’s fundraising charities sends her a picture it is the catalyst she needs to make a decision, a decision that is the biggest win of all.
Reunited with the Rebel Billionaire is an extremely well-written and deeply emotional romance about an emotionally and physically scarred young woman, her handsome, sexy football star husband, their failing marriage, and the secret she can’t bring herself to tell him because of her own fears and lack of confidence. It’s also a story about grief and loss and the damage it can take on a marriage when the couple in question can’t communicate their fears and their pain.
You guys, this book broke my heart in so many ways. I felt so much for Fiona and Henri and I wanted so badly to go into my kindle and hug them both. Then I wanted to set them both down and have an honest and real talk about trust and communication and finding a way to let go of all the fears that hold them back.
Reunited with the Rebel Billionaire was such a unique book for me. It was still powerful, provocative, and passionate, as is the Desire line, but it was so much more than that, too. It had true real-to-life emotion simmering all throughout its pages, with real pain and fear and hope and want. It had a woman who acted coldly, not out of lack of feeling, but out of protection for feeling too much. So, so much.
Fiona’s fears about her health drive this story so well and lends shape to a powerful story about love and loss and healing. Henri is so confused about Fiona’s insistence on ending their marriage, and rightly so, because he doesn’t immediately know what is going on with his wife or why she’s so determined on ending things between them sooner than they originally talked about, but he wants her. That has never changed for him. And he’s determined to win her back–and man, I loved his tactics in doing so. Fiona is more than worth the effort Henri places into winning her heart again, despite her coldness and mixed signals at times.
I’m so glad I got the chance to read this incredibly moving romance. Because Reunited with the Rebel Billionaire did move me. It did make me ache for both Fiona and Henri, for two different yet similar reasons. What Fiona went through, all the pain and heartache, disappointment and hope, devastation and suffering, Henri went through it with her. Maybe he didn’t feel the loss and pain physically like Fiona did, but it left a deep mark on him inside, just as it left its mark on Fiona.
If you love compelling, engaging, and highly emotional second chance romance reads, Reunited with the Rebel Billionaire is an excellent and story to pick up. In many ways, to me, it almost felt like a cross between an angst-ridden Presents and a powerful, provocative Desire, and maybe that’s why I loved it so much. It contained the best of both Harlequin lines, and it worked really, really well for me.
Hardcore loved it!
