So this was the wax I ever used so I had nothing to compare it to but I thought it was pretty easy to apply and I loved the results. When I ran out I went to order more from Amazon but the shipping for some reason was going to take over a week. I noticed that my Home Depot carried it so I ran in and grabbed a jar. The jar I got off Amazon and the one I purchased from Home Depot are definitely to different waxes. The one from Home Depot was way super watery and not as easy to use. So now I’m scared to purchase more and just switch to a whole new brand of wax.

I spent a week painstakingly painting a dingy off-white desk a nice bright white (I used the Decoart Americana chalky paint in Everlasting). I did multiple coats and even sanded it awesomely smooth. I decided that for a desk I should put a protective coating on the paint, so I bought this clear wax. Unfortunately it's not clear!! This wax actually has a warm undertone and turned my bright white desk an off-white antique cream color. Basically back to the horrible color it started. I am so frustrated and furious that my project is ruined & I have to start over. I tried to scrub the wax off, but the color change persists. I just hope that after some more scrubbing & sanding that I can paint over it and get back to bright white. Do not use this wax unless you want a warm color change.
Review update: Just wanted to update my review to say that I was able to successfully remove this wax and paint over it. I scrubbed with water and a soft rag to get most of the wax off, then sanded and used a microfiber cloth to wipe everything smooth again. I then painted two more coats of white and my desk looks great. But it's already getting marks on it from use, so I need to find an alternative protective product that will not change the color of my finish.
