This Stormtrooper came well packaged and included two guns, one of which I believe is the E-11 blaster that is the standard Stormtrooper weapon and another one I'm not quite familiar with. The figure looks good. There is a lot of fine detail in the helmet portion specifically but the armor is well molded and adequately painted. It is a matte white finish but it looks good. Another really nice detail is the holster for the E-11 which is molded with lines that make it look very much like leather. It loosely but nicely holds the gun.
Regarding the figure articulation, the head rotates and looks up and down. The shoulders are on ball joints, the biceps rotate, the elbows bend, and the wrists rotate and bend. The waist doesn't seem to turn but just below the rib cage rotates and bends back, forward, left and right. The legs rotate on ball joints from the crotch, the thighs rotate, the knees bend, and the feet bend up forward and back as well as left and right.
Considering all of the articulation I had a hard time initially setting him in a pose. After getting an idea of all of the movement it became fairly easy to get him to stand on his own in a decent firing position. What I also liked about the articulation was that most of the joints are well hidden with the black suit under the armor. There aren't a lot if any very obvious ball joins sticking out.
I'm really happy with this character. I only have the R2D2 from the black series so far and I had some issues with the paint job on that figure. I'm satisfied with everything on this Stormtrooper and for around $24 I can happily and easily recommend this figure.

Pros:Great Articulation all throughout. Mold is different from the 6" Blk Srs SandTrooper (abdomen different, as well as utility belt/blaster holdster, and has a non-removable grenade molded into the belt). Nice clean semi-gloss white color. Ankle pivots and dual knee joints, really stable w/o a base! BONUS: "Aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper" head tilt capabilities.
If you are so inclined, you CAN port over the shoulder pauldron and backpack from the Sandtrooper and he'll be "that guy" that didn't make it to work on time and stayed clean...
Cons: Arms can't go all the way up to make a "T", legs can't do full splits (but neither could the real ST given the butt armor plate). minor paint QC issues.
I was lucky enough to grab this figure direct from Amazon at their listed $22.99 price.. Do not pay those outrageous prices from 3rd parties! and STOP rating this item poorly because of 3rd party sellers. This figure is absolutely a 5 star item... Amazon shipped in their regular cardboard box and arrived mint. No box damage, for those that are worried about keeping it 'carded' but seriously, this is a great figure, it must be opened!
For those that want to customize to create a Luke or Han in ST gear: note: the neck ball joint on the ST (and the Sandtrooper) are much larger than the neck ball joint on the Luke Xwing or Han Solo figures.. you will either need to sand down the ST neck ball joint, OR drill the Luke/Han hole larger.... FYI: Xwing Luke's head looks a little tiny on the ST body.. Han's head looks more to scale.
Hope this helps ;)
Design - Perfect emulation of the Imperial soldiers from the original trilogy! The Stormtrooper's armor is highly detailed and the figure in general looks great. **Note** No, the belt nor the helmet can be removed.
Paint Job - Can vary from figure to figure but the one I received has a good paint job - only some small, hardly noticeable imperfections at the joints that cannot really been seen from more than a foot away.
Articulation - As is standard for the Black Series the articulation is very good. However, just like the Clone Trooper, the thigh armor really restricts you from posing the figure in a kneeling or sitting stance.
Accessories - The Stormtrooper comes with a blaster pistol and rifle. The inclusion of a holster for the blaster pistol is an incredibly nice touch. However I'm a bit disappointed with the rifle. I won't claim to be an expert on Star Wars Imperial weapons but I've never seen this kind of blaster rifle before and honestly it looks a little hokey (like it was pulled from a $6 generic sci-fi action figure). I would've much rather had the MG-34/MG-42 inspired rifle as seen in the original trilogy films. Additionally, like the Clone Trooper, the left hand does not support the pistol or rifle well - forcing you to either rest it on top of the hand or bend the thumb enough to wrap the hand around it.
Overall - This is a great-looking Stormtrooper figure that will look great on any Star Wars fans' desk or shelf. The detail, paint job, and articulation make it a great buy and worth displaying.
