Thermolite Reactor Extreme Liner
The THERMOLITE Reactor Extreme is the warmest backpacking knit sleeping bag liner we offer. The hollow fiber threads work just like the hollow fur of a polar bear in that they trap heat effectively. When the mercury drops you'll appreciate the mummy shape and drawcord hood with mini cord lock attached. Depending on your environment and sleep conditions, this liner can increase your sleeping bag warmth by up to 25F.
THERMOLITE FABRIC
The Reactor Series Sleeping bag liners and the foot boxes of the Women’s Trek, Talus and Latitude Sleeping Bags use hollow core THERMOLITE fiber to add warmth. Hollow cores fibers trap extra air for insulation (just like the hollow-cores of polar bear or caribou fur). Knitted THERMOLITE fabric is soft and stretchy and comes in three different weights: 80g/m² fabric used in the Reactor and the underside of the Compact Plus liners; a 110g/m² fabric which is used in the Extreme, and the core and foot box of the Compact Plus liner; and the Fleece, the warmest of all the fabrics.

Product Description
Sea to Summit Reactor series insulated sleeping bag liners can extend the comfort range and improve personal hygiene of any sleeping bag. Thermolite hollow core fibers are constructed like the fur of a polar bear, efficiently trapping heat and providing a luxuriously soft, comfortable feel. The stretch-knit fabric provides optimal comfort, and ensures the Reactor fits any sleeping bag. Additionally, the drawcord footbox offers plenty of ventilation and the versatility of walking around camp while still wearing your liner. Available in three different weights, Reactor technical liners make your existing sleeping bag warmer and more versatile. The Regular Liner uses hollow-core Thermolite Pro fabric with infra red-absorbing ceramic pigments and Thermolite EcoMade fibers. This lightweight fabric adds up to 14F of warmth to your sleep system. The Extreme Liner features a thicker hollow-core Thermolite Pro fabric to add up to 25F of warmth to your sleep system. The Fleece Liner employs hollow-core Thermolite Pro fibers in a grid-pattern to deliver our warmest sleeping bag liner which adds up to 32F of warmth to your sleep system.

Turns out my favorites use for it is as a summer bag. It’s very small when packed compared to a sleeping bag and works well to keep you comfortable on a backpacking or bikepacking trip on warm nights. It also works well as a bag protector with added warmth to my -20° winter bag. Allowing you to sleep without base layers if that’s your thing.
It does not however extended the range of my 20° bag. So if you’re thinking to buy this to push your 20-30° bag to a 0° then I suggest putting them money towards a proper 0° instead. Sleeping outside in zero degrees is really cold and while this helps a bit, it doesn’t make up for the right gear for the job.
