One thing I should point out is that the author apparently believes in preterism which is the eschatological belief that all prophesies have already occurred; i.e. prophesies in Revelation have already been fulfilled within the first century. This is a position on prophesies and eschatology that many readers may not hold and teachers/students should be aware; but one should not be turned away from the work for this reason alone as the author only interprets prophecy this way a couple times. Overall, I would definitely recommend this book as an introductory historical survey to the New Testament for students college level and above.
