Easy to use, but not very strong
I purchased six of these clamps to complete a project to build custom interior doors (craftsman style, single panel). While the clamps are easy to use and adjust to length, I found them much too flexible for my purposes. As you can see in the picture that I shared, when clamped down, the rods flex considerably. I was not able to generate the force I needed so I had to use multiple clamps on each joint. In addition, the handles are wooden and narrow and smooth. This makes it difficult to turn the handles to get sufficient clamp pressure. (Larger, rubberized handles would be much better.). In the end, they got the job done, but I wouldn't recommend these clamps for projects where you need a significant amount of force to bring the joints together.

Do not confuse these clamps with the Bessey K-body clamps that cost 8x more. These are great for larger glue ups but they do flex a bit under tight pressure. I use them in conjunction with my K-body clamps for additional support on my larger projects. 100% worth the money but get a few of the K-body clamps to ensure everything is nice and straight first then use these for extra pressure.

If you don't need a pistol grip clamp, this works very well. The clamp jaws are steel, with plastic pads to protect your work. The bar has notches in it that will keep the lower jaw from slipping. The lock for the bar is nice and tight. The handle is wood, and while I can't say how long it will last before wearing out, I think as long as you remember that this is for clamping wood while waiting for your wood glue to dry, and that you don't over-use the clamp and expect more out of it than this, then you should be fine. I see reviews of people who have the handle break off their clamp, and I need to question how tight they are making the clamp. Make it tight enough, but no gorilla strength needed! It should last a long time.

These were a great deal for Bessey clamps. I've used them before and I really like them for medium duty.
They came in a carton that looked like the American Tourister gorillas had gotten it. It had obviously been re-taped and was partially collapsed and torn. The ends of the clamps were sticking out of the carton where they had poked through.
The 24" clamps I'd ordered were individually wrapped in bubble wrap. These 36" ones had been just thrown into the box. Some of the pads had come off and were loose in the box. Someone must have been close to knocking off for the day. Pretty sloppy.
Fortunately the clamps were straight and undamaged.
