To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I was introduced to Olba's oil by one of my clients many years ago when I was a massage therapist. It works so well to clear a stuffy nose (which happens alot when your lying face down for a while on the massage table then turn on your back). It smells wonderful, soothes mild muscle aches when applied topically (cut it with oil, do NOT get in/near your eyes or an open wound, it will burn!). Works well in my diffusers too. It's been a long time favorite in my family now as well.
I’ve been using Olbas Oil for over twenty years. It’s still my go-to for aches (mix with a little jojoba oil), cold relief, a general pick-me-up bath and more. Unlike the chest rubs with petroleum, I mix a drop of Olbas with jojoba oil and it helps break up chest congestion naturally. A little goes a very long way so don’t be dismayed by the size of the bottle. A drop or two is all you need and you’ll have the cleanest, freshest scent however you use it.
I heard about this from an aunt who uses it for dabbing on mouth ulcers. Since I get ulcers inside my mouth every now and again too, I thought I'd get some to have on hand since I have never found anything effective in clearing mouth ulcers up - including using Zovirax, which I have on hand for cold sores on my lips. Just a few days ago I began to get an ulcer and I used the oil for the first time. I was astonished at the efficacy of the oil! It tastes horrible, horrible, horrible, and I'm not even sure whether you ought to put it inside the mouth, but since my aunt has been using with apparently no ill effect all her life, I thought I'd try it. It smells of menthol and has an immediate (very welcome) anaesthetic effect on the ulcer. It worked on the ulcer very quickly, even within minutes, and by the next day the ulcer had gone away completely. It left my lips extremely dry, and if I hadn't used lip gloss on them they may have split, so I think the oil has a very drying effect on skin (which may be why it's used as an inhalant). I really couldn't have been more amazed, or more thrilled to have found something that actually worked on mouth ulcers. It seemed almost magic - like one of those old wives' tales that turned out to be true.
Don’t know much about it. Not like it’s a cure all. My son still had trouble breathing after putting it on his chest mixed with coconut oil. Supposed to clear up sinuses. It smells amazing but does it really enhance the sick problem with littles? I don’t know.
