I really enjoyed this book! This was the first book I have read from the Men of Inked series by Chelle Bliss and I cannot wait to read the rest of them! I have also read Chelle's book Untangle Me and loved it as well! Resisting is Izzy's story and I just love her sass and attitude! I'm anxious to see how Izzy and James' story unfolds!!

I listened to the audiobook of Resisting and found it truly entertaining. It was quick, hot and the narration was perfect. Chelle Bliss is a new to me author and I most definitely will be picking up more of her books in any format (paperback, ebook or audiobook).

This novella has me intrigued with the rest of the Men of Inked series. Resisting by Chelle Bliss is a MUST read/listen and will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ELITE!!!

Love Chelle's books, but this audiobook was great. Izzy and James first met at her brothers wedding. They are combustible even if she wants it to be only a one night stand. James/Jimmy wants a whole lot more and is more then ready to wait her out. It ended way too soon.

Isabelle Gallo, known to family and friends as Izzy, has decided relationships and more specifically marriage, isn't for her, she has a good friend from school, named Sam, who now goes by the name of Flash, that moved away after school. He now is a biker, and has joined an MC, but there is one thing they always had in common and that is neither of them wanted or needed a relationship, or marriage. Whenever he was in town he would call her, and if she was available, they would have sex, with no strings attached, exactly how Izzy liked it. On the eve of Thanksgiving Izzy was in tattoo salon that she and her four brothers owned, and operated, only her brother Tommy who worked for the DEA and was deep undercover wasn't there, he was with an MC club, searching for proof to close them down. She always loved this time with her brothers, there was easy banter back and forth with them, and tonight was no different. Joe told his siblings to be on time for Thanksgiving dinner at his house, with his fiance Suzy, who he was about to marry in a week. Mike asked him if was going to cook, to which Joe easily laughed and replied no, though they all loved Suzy, she couldn't cook. As her brothers were doing the heavy work that went into closing the store, Izzy pulled out her cell and went on her Facebook page to see what was going on in her newsfeed. She noticed a message from Flash he was in town and wanted to know what she was doing that night, she messaged had no plans, he messaged back he would be at her house in a half hour. She jumped from her seat saying she had to go, and her brother Joe, once again reminded her to be on time at his house for dinner, which was two o'clock in the afternoon.

Flash was there waiting for her, and she went to brush her teeth, he stood at the bathroom door and watched her, but Izzy noticed something was off with the way he was talking to her, as if he were her girlfriend. Izzy didn't take long to set him straight, she wasn't his or anyone else's girlfriend. She didn't want it, and she didn't need it. When she went to kiss him, he had a foul odor on him, and she told him he needed to take a shower before he would be allowed in her bed. As he undressed in the bathroom, Izzy watched, not seeing the boy who took her virginity away in school, but the man he turned out to be, beautiful body, and rugged good looks, as he got in the shower she went to the bed, and drew the covers down. As she was lying there, she knew it was going to be another night like any other nights they had together, the short time it took him to shower she decided it would be their last time together. He came out of the shower and when she looked in his eyes, she didn't see lust, but caring, and perhaps love. After sex she eased into the conversation of telling him that this was the last, by asking him why he didn't get an old lady from the MC, he said it wouldn't be the same, they could never compare to her. He new what she was getting at, he sensed it coming it was going to be their last night together. He asked her what she wanted to do the day, and she reminded him it was Thanksgiving and she would be spending the day with her family, he said he forgot all about it, and he would just do what he had to do for the MC and then go back. His parents were out of town, so that option for him was out. She invited him to come to Joe's house, before she had time to really think about it, all her brother's hated Flash. He agreed and asked if he could spend the night in her bed and cuddle and sleep together. She gave in even though it went against her better judgement.

The next day she was a little late getting to her brother's house with Flash because of his snoring all night she was awake and when Joe text her in the morning to be on time she just rolled over and went back to sleep since Flash was already awake for the day. He woke her at one thirty, asking what time they had to be at her brother's house, and when he told her and she realized what time it was she rushed to get dressed and urged him to do the same or she would leave without him.She was somewhat relived to see her brother Mike arrived at the same time they did, and he wasn't pleased to see Flash. When he asked her what he was doing there she told him the truth he had no where else to go, and it was a holiday. When they entered Joe's house the reception from Joe and Andrew wasn't much better than Mike's, and gave in only because he was there already, plus Suzy caused welcomed him also Joe would do anything for Suzy, even to the point of not upsetting her by punching Flash in the face, which was exactly what he wanted to do. They knew all about Izzy not wanting a relationship and especially not marriage, but they didn't like the idea of her sleeping with him, in their eyes he was trouble. Her parents however, were cordial, and welcomed him to their family Thanksgiving dinner.
Flash returned home when she dropped him off i front of her house, knowing he would never see her again, with a heavy heart, he also knew there was nothing he could do to change her mind.

The day of Joe and Suzy's wedding arrived, Izzy and MIa Mike's girlfriend were both bridesmaids, and they were in the chapels dressing room along with Izzy's mother helping her to dress. They were so surprised at how beautiful Suzy looked, even Izzy surprised herself by shedding a few tears, and Mia teased her about it, but of course Izzy just ignored her, until Mia told her to wait till she meets the man that would steal hr heart. Then it was time to walk down the aisle. Izzy watched her brother all smiles, and seemed to be not to be nervous at all, and she watched as all eyes were on Suzy waking down the aisle but Suzy didn't seem to notice, she looked to have eyes only for Joe. When they got to reception hall Izzy made a dash to the bar, to kick off her shoes while sitting at the bar, and ordering a Jack Daniels. The bartender was trying to flirt with her, but Izzy was having none of it. The first chance she got to go to her brother and his new wife, she went to give Suzy a bear hug. Joe excused himself because saying he wanted to get a drink in the boys, and the two women were talking, when a deep voice came from behind Izzy, saying he was sorry to interrupt, Izzy having a few too many Jack Daniels told him to beat it, but Suzy admonished Izzy for being rude. The man held out an envelope telling Suzy that it was from Thomas, and that he sent his regrets for not being able to be there for the reception. Suzy opened the envelope and Izzy quickly asked Suzy if Thomas was alright, she said he was fine, then Izzy looked at the man who delivered the envelope and realized how handsome he was and immediately thought of having sex with him. He introduced himself as James Caldo, and Suzy introduced Izzy as Thomas' sister, he was shocked, and told her how much Thomas had talked about her and admired her. Soon even Suzy could see the mutual attraction the two had for each other, though to know that about Izzy you had to really know her, and told Izzy to keep James company for the night since she didn't bring a date.

Izzy was not happy about this, but she wouldn't cause a scene at her brother's wedding, especially with his new bride. Besides she was truly intrigued with this man, and thought one night with him would be very exciting.

Has Izzy finally met the match for her, is he really able to care for her, even with her sassy mouth, and Izzy really able to give her heart to a man finally?

This is an amazing story, Izzy is truly a strong and opinionated woman with no fear of letting her feelings be known. Could James be her match, or will Izzy drive him away?

This is the part of a series of The Men in Ink series and the whole series is truly interesting from the first to the last, and I don't think we have heard the last of the Men in Ink yet. Thought about the book: It would have been nice to read this book before I read Resist Me. It would of lead me into the book a little better than going from City’s and Suzy’s wedding in Throttled with Izzy and James just hooking up and then jumping into their story, which was a good read don’t get me wrong. I did not know I had this book sitting in my kindle to be read until one day after finishing the box set I had I was looking for my next read and came across this story and I was over the moon. Pulling all the events that lead up to Izzy and James’s hook up aka an amazing one nighter, lead me to fall in love with these two. Hating each other because of the fast connection that they found when just being around each other, without talking about the shock wave that rushes through their bodies when they touch!!!! For those that have not read this book it is a must read!!!

Thought about the writing and layout of the book: The book over all was a great read. The author did a great job of keeping me as the reader wanting more to the point that I could not put the book down!

What I liked: The story as a book over all was great and like I said the author did a great job tell the story at hand. Being able to link piece that I though I was missing to their true story in Resist Me.

What I didn’t like: There was not much that I didn’t like about this book. Like I had said I wish I came across this book before reading Resist Me, I feel like I would have had a better set up before going into their story.

Would I recommend: I would to all my friends.
