Every once in a while an author writes a book that makes you so emotionally invested you begin to question sanity. Then there are the rare times that same author writes a book that makes you question why you're even a fan.... This installment had me rubbing my heart one moment and clenching my thighs the next. Genuinely trying to compose myself to express my love for this book- sadly Amazon wouldn't find my reaction appropriate. The best part about this book is how emotionally charged and how invested I became in Nikki. Usually protagonists turmoil can be irritating. But, Nikki's was genuine and well executed.

Xavier is a character that is so well developed that whether good or bad I'll be on the sidelines wearing "Xavier's biggest fan" boldly displayed across my chest. If I found a four leaf clover, if I blew on a dandelion and my wish came true, if I found a magic lamp and a genie asked for my one wish- I'd ask for Xavier (wrapping paper not even necessary...okay maybe a bow ;) )

I liked this book a lot. It was a great followup to book one. Hot and exciting, and left me on the edge of my seat for the next book.

The story line of this new series is great, and I'm glad to see she's stepped over to a new area with new characters. I'm just curious to see who he really is.

I rated it a four, because although hot, the story lines leave me wanting for more.

The only thing I wish is that Roxy Sloane did a complete book instead of the installments because I get so caught up in the story, then I have to wait.

I believe her friend Kayla was murdered because they thought she was Nikki. But who did it? I really want Xavier to be a good guy. I don't want him to be The Boss. I think he really does love Nikki. And she obviously cares for him too. And the sex is.....Omg....I can't even put it into words how hot it is. Good Lord I'd let him do me even if he was a killer I think. I'm dying to find out the truth. Who killed her brother Eli? Is Xavier the bad guy? Who all is following Nikki? Ugh so many questions.

This story is very intriguing and keeps you wanting to continue reading so you can find out what happened. Nicole wants to and feels a need to find out what happened to her brother. She can't imagine her brother doing something like he is being blamed for and she wants to clear his name and find out the truth. All signs point to Xavier being the drug lord and being the one that had her brother killed. So she knows she needs to stay away from him but she feels drawn to him and pulled to him. She wants him sexually and she can't stop wanting him.

Definitely worth reading.

I don't know where to start because this story is so intriguing that I'm having a hard time figuring out who the bad guy is in this story. Nicole is about to lose her mind because she's really into Xavier but she not sure if she can trust him at all. And it's hard to put your hand on who Xavier really is because he is so mysterious at times. I definitely recommend this book.

Wow, this story just keeps getting better and better. Was Eli really caught? What's the story with Agent Barton is a good guy or is he setting Xavier up? Xavier is a real sexy character but is he a nice guy or bad boy? not sure which I'd prefer.

I feel for Nicole and all the ups and downs she's having in trying to solve the mystery of her brother's death.

Can't wait for the next book. I am really loving this, best series I have read in ages. I'll certainly be reading it from start to finish again as soon as I get the full series.
