The particle size is not quite nanometer size, but then that too was mentioned clearly in the product description, and we knew that beforehand. So, no complaints there.
Oh, and it was delivered earlier than promised! A pleasant surprise.
Used this to make some magnetic putty and it turned out great, swallowed those magnets like alien goo. Keep in mind if you will be using this for the same thing the putty doesn't keep. The humidity build up in the jar causes the metal powder to rust.
A little bit goes a long way
I would recommend using neodymium magnets as they are very strong
It was easier to make when we added the iron to the glue before adding borax
Make the slime on a surface that is okay to stain if accidents happen
If the iron is not mixed in well enough or there is too much it will turn your hands and surfaces black.
I found clean up to be the easiest with paper towels because it will smear if too much iron gets on the towel
Overall it worked great and my sisters had fun playing with the magnetic slime.
Also, putting a product like this in a bag is a terrible idea. No matter how I tried to get it out, I wound up making a huge mess and after the first time I opened it, the ziploc on the bag never sealed again because it became wadded up with the fine powder.
This may be great for other uses, but as a cement pigment, I'd pass.
