Product Description

Product Description

Incan gold is an award-winning game in which players push their luck as they head into a ruined temple, attempting to find the most jewels. Each turn, a card is turned over that increases the gold found in a temple or shows a HAZARD. Players can attempt to escape, keeping the loot that they've acquired, or stay in the temple, hoping for increased profits. As players escape, those in the temple will acquire bigger shares of each pile of gold found, but also run the risk of dying if the same HAZARD card is drawn twice. The tension mounts as players decide whether or not to stay or leave the temples. Up to eight people can play this game, making it a great game for parties and other gatherings. With quality components and a compelling theme, Incan gold will be the first choice of large groups looking for a fun filled game.

From the Manufacturer

Incan Gold (co-designed by Alan R. Moon, designer of Ticket to Ride) is a quick, fun game of bluff and daring in which explorers push their luck while exploring an old Incan temple in search of gold and treasure. In each round, you decide whether to delve deeper into the temple, adding to your riches, or escape with the share you've acquired so far. Every time an explorer braves new territory, more gems and dangers appear. Giant spiders, mummies and fire can cause you to lose everything. Is it worth the risk? You decide. But if you leave, those who remain in the temple may acquire a bigger share of each stash of jewels yet to be found. After five rounds of exploration, whoever has the most treasure is the ultimate explorer and the winner..

My boyfriend introduced me to Incan Gold, and I loved it so much I had to get my own copy. Within 24 hours of receiving it I played with my late teens/early 20’s children and they really liked it. The only negative with the purchase is it’s not the same cover as advertised on the seller’s post. However, this newer version of the game has meeples and new artifact card rules. It’s pretty cool.
