Great for Cake pops!
I bought these for the use of cake pops as favors! They make great cake pop sticks but the thing is that the cake pops need to be eaten in a few days or the grease from the cake or icing will soak into the paper straw and make it look oily. So I gave it four stars because they aren't as thick cardboard as I thought they would be. Even to hold up against drinking I think the cardboard needs to be a little thicker. But still makes creative and great replacements for lollipop sticks!

I always read reviews before buying and was apprehensive about buying these because others have noted that they don't hold up for drinking. They were beautiful and priced well so I took the plunge and I'm so glad I did! Not only is the color vibrant and beautiful but they are sturdier then I would think is possible with a paper straw. If this tells you anything I used these in a mason jar with a cute paisley lid at a party I threw. They were sitting already poured with straw immersed in lemonade on buffet drink table. People could just grab and go. Lemonade is highly acidic so I was shocked when my drink straw help up throughout the length of the party. I honestly do not know how others posted that they were poorly constructed. If your on the fence but them, you won't be disappointed.

Kept seeing these straws on Pinterest and wanted them for a birthday party. I thought they were a bit pricey for straws but 3 months later we are still using them frequently even after a party with 24 guests so the package will last a long time. As someone pointed out these are paper and after a while they do get kind of nasty as the biodegradable feature takes action quickly BUT I have not had issues with them in the first half hour to hour of use. These straws were such a simple thing but were such a big hit for an ordinary item that everyone uses, my 5 year olds friends always think I am serving something fancy because I give them red cups and these straws even though it is just milk. From afar they look like pixie sticks. Easy to cut for crafts and look pretty in a glass stored out in the open. I plan on buying more and this time getting blue as well.

I have just about finished using my first box of 144, and I think they are great. I bought these because we have kids and we go through a lot of straws for smoothies and homemade Italian sodas. We also try to compost and recycle as much as possible. These straws are compostable and the color comes from vegetable dyes. They are attractive and the colors are bright (I bought red and white striped). The diameter is standard straw sized. They do what they're supposed to do. We've had no problems whatsoever with collapsing or dissolving straws -- when I clear the breakfast dishes they are still intact, after sitting for half an hour in liquid. None of the picky kids who use these straws have had any complaints and neither have I.

I bought these for my son's vintage circus themed birthday party. We placed them in empty glass milk bottles to complete an old school look to the refreshment table. We served lemonade and horchata so the look was still super cute as guests were sipping these at the party. The milk bottles were small so any beverage wasn't going to last in the bottles for longer than 20 minutes. As such, these held up well during that time. Some folks replaced their straws during refills, but by no means were the straws deteriorating beyond use. They are paper straws so some sogginess I suppose is to be expected is in liquid for any great length of time. I was pleased with the product, knowing full well what the product was, and that these are not the nicest ones on the market. After all where most paper straws on the market are sold in packs of 25 for a few dollars, these are coming with 144 in a package for the same few dollars. This is actually why I purchased them for our party. Disposable items tend to get tossed well before their full life expectancy at parties, so why spend more money for less items or for non-eco conscious options? I collected all of the milk bottles to wash after the party and for those straws that were still in the bottles, I tossed in the compost pile. If I were a straw fan in my every day life, I would totally buy these more often and put them back into the earth through my compost pile.

Yes yes yes! These look EXACTLY like what you want them to. I know, most straws you get are plastic and crappy, or disappointing. Even the box these come in is fun. It is a paper straw - great for making milkshakes fun. Bright, vibrant, colorful. That's pretty much about it. Not especially long. Think standard size. It would be nice if they were 3 inches longer, but that might be too long for kids. I can't praise these highly enough. Well worth my money.
