I was a little worried when I read a review that mentioned how the main character, who is supposed to be this strong female, was more on the whiny side and couldn't handle the job. I'm extremely glad I didn't let that stop me from reading this book.

Delaney is unquestionably a strong, smart, beautiful, kick ass, character that I would personally love to hang out with. She faces adversity at every corner and chooses not to let it beat her down, she doesn't let it define her. Yes, she may have gotten a little emotional a time or two, but it wasn't like she was laying on the ground acting like her life was over. Working in a male dominated career field, where they constantly have her second guessing herself, I would find it more unbelievable if she didn't have a "Go F*©» yourself," mentality.

Also, Jax is not the womanizing man whore that others tried to portrayed him as. He loves being with women, yes, when he was single. Once he gets to know Delaney, she's all he wants.

The book made me laugh, had me cheering for Delaney (kick him in the nads), and praying for a HEA. I got my wish 😁.

Delaney and Jax get off to a rough start. Delaney is pursuing her dream of being a bodyguard and finds herself subject to men who think it is still the 1950's. All of the men where she works treat her like she's a joke. The insults she was subjected to were tough to take and the lack of respect was appalling. Jax was no better than her co-workers and insulted her from the beginning. Delaney does make some mistakes but her heart was always in the right place. The only problem I had with the book was the fact that Jax was still a manwhore and, even though he was just with a woman that morning, they both wanted each other that afternoon. That was a bit tough to comprehend. If she wasn't slapped in the face with that, I don't know what would have woken her up. When they do start to give into their feelings, both are cautious but also know they risk discovery. I did have an issue with Delaney not coming clean, since she was supposedly a rule follower and this was her "dream" job. Nak was put in an uncomfortable position a few times by Delaney. Jax needs protection after witnessing the rape and murder of a girl by a gang and his life is put on the line several times in this book. Delaney did come through and do her job, even though she was again sidelined by single-minded male thinking by all of her co-workers and boss. Her intuition proved corrected and saved several lives, including Jax's. It was well done and the ending was a nice way to wrap it up.

What Delaney always wanted was to be in the Armed Forces, unfortunately she has a problem with her eyesight and the door has closed on that profession. After witnessing a drive-by shooting in which a man was saved by a personal bodyguard her spirits are lifted as she realises there was another way to protect people.

She has been years training be to a bodyguard for Thorpe Security. As the only female in this male dominated establishment, she can only take the next step of getting a case protecting a client when she can take down her boss Nak. And after being the brunt of a joke once again, she does just that.

She now has her first case, protecting Hotel owner Jaxson Shields who is none too happy that he is being given a woman to protect him. She has Kyle to help her out for a few weeks and he isn't happy to be working with her either but Delaney is confident that she can do this, with or without Jaxson's approval. Only problem is the more she works with him, the more difficult it is to resist him.

The title says it all - Hard to forget. This was a great book from page one right up until the end.

Another fantastic book by Bella Jewel!!!!

In the most recent "An Alpha's Heart Novel" we meet yet another strong alpha female making her way in what is normally considered a male dominated career. Delaney has wanted to be a bodyguard for years & while she was given the chance by her boss, she has had to work really hard to prove herself before she's given her first big case. Ad what a case it is. Protecting an arrogant, man-whore, billionaire from some really nasty guys that want him dead. It doesn't help tat Jaxson Shields immediately takes exception to being protected by a woman. But Delaney plans to do her job no matter who tries to get in her way.

Just when things start heating up between Jax & Delaney the case starts heating up as well. What will happen next is anyone's guess, but knowing Bella Jewel it's sure to be a fantastic story. So go grab a copy & hunker down for one heck of a sassy, sexy story!!!! You won't regret it!!!

Bella Jewel is one of those writers who creates real strong charcters and especially female characters.
Alpha's heart is a series of 3 books all startig by "Hard to..." which all can be read as standalones. In fact I haven't seen any real link between them.

Delaney lives to become a bodyguard as good as all her male collegues. When she gets to procect Jax, a billionaire whose life is being threatened she has to prove to everybody ( Jax and herself included that she is good, that she os the best!)
Their relationship is something between hate and attraction at the beginning.
The plot is nicem the characters as well. Everything has the right rythm and lenght.
I just regreted to to feel their love. I read about their attraction which for me was very physical for most of the time and I don't really understand why the two fell in love.

The read was fun and fast. I really enjoyed it.

Overall I enjoyed this book.

It was an interesting storyline that was fun and full of action. It was an easy read that flowed nicely and gripped me from the get go.

Once again, I really liked the female lead and I've loved how Bella has given us real strong women. I have to say that I've mostly struggled to connecting with the male leads in this series throughout. However, Jax for me was the easiest male lead to connect with in the series.

All in all, I've really enjoyed the Alpha's Heart series. I just wished that they'd all been a little longer and a little more developed and this series would have been lifted from a good one to a great one.
