I wear a 9 in a closed shoe, in western boots an 8 D and I go for an 8.5 in sandals - These are a perfect fit for me - the strap fits along the toes just nicely without squashing them - my foot is quite wide so I have to wonder if these could be a bit loose on a narrow or even a normal B width - the heel height is perfect for all day wear - I bought these in Nude and Red they both fit well and wore and walked in them a lot without any issue

I have ordered this shoe in a size 7.5, twice now, and both times had to return them, as the right heel is defective. It was not attached to the shoe properly, and forces your ankle to tilt to the left. Uncomfortable, and potentially dangerous if it should cause one to fall while wearing these! If not for the quality control issue, they are cute, and fit true to size. I'm very disappointed that I had to return both pair. I would have expected better from anything with Madden's name on them.....but then perhaps the price was so good because it was known there is a quality issue with these?

If you're looking for red shoes, this pair is a winner! I wore these for my graduation photos and for the actual day of my graduation, and they provided a comfortable shoes that was easy to walk in, but still stylish and sophisticated. The strap gave extra support (great for when you have to walk in front of a crowd or give a presentation), but did not feel like they were strangling my feet.

These shoes would be comfortable for a few hours, maybe more with some added padding, but certainly are not for all day wear.
