No Reverse (The Second Chances Series Book 1) Kindle Edition
A girl who needs to undo the past. A boy who wants to forget it. In love, there’s no way back.
Back in high school, Cassie O’Malley and Josh MacBride were the poster couple for quarterback/cheerleader romance until they starred in their own tale of teen pregnancy. No need to say their shotgun wedding was low-key. Five years later, Josh is set to kick off a political career on Capitol Hill, sponsored by his new girlfriend’s father. First, he must take care of a tiny legal matter: Technically, he’s still married to the girl who broke his heart.
Meanwhile, Cassie has been waiting tables back home to pay for her sick grandmother’s care. On the day of the old lady’s funeral, Cassie is served with two sets of papers. Josh is asking for a divorce. Her heart squeezes, but, well, he moved on a long time ago. The second envelope shakes Cassie to the core. So she leaves home and heads for the glitzy life of the boy who once loved her.
But no matter if her first—and only—love keeps thrusting the divorce papers under her nose, Cassie needs him to save the only person she loves more than Josh, more than life itself…
No Reverse is a heart-breaking love story with slow-burnt sexual chemistry. If you like contemporary romances about sacrifices, trust, and redemption with a sweet and badass hero, you will love Josh and Cassie’s journey back to each other.
Download No Reverse to experience a beautiful story about first love and second chance.

This was such an emotional story and just wow!!!
I fell in love with the characters...Josh and Cassie!
Cassie is by far the most selfless person in the universe. She deserves so much and always looks out for the best interest in others rather than herself.
This is the story of how Josh and Cassie who fell in love in high school, who had their lives ahead of them only to be turned upside down instead. Cassie wanted Josh to live his life and not be tied down, so she did what she thought was best for him.
Unfortunately Cassie's decision was not the choice Josh would have made, he did not have a choice in the matter. After splitting up and going separate ways, Josh has moved on. There is only one small thing in his way to marrying his fiance, he has to divorce his first wife, Cassie first.
Sadly Cassie gets the new of divorce papers on the worst day possible along with another letter that is life changing. Now before Cassie can give Josh what he wants, she needs his help first.
Cassie sets out to talk to Josh and have him help her, unfortuantely things do not go the way she planned. His anger towards her is still there and they get off to a rocky start.
These two share a love people only dream about. But do they have enough love for each other to reunite their family or will they go their separate ways and continue to do what is best for everyone else rather than themselves?
I absolutely loved this book and am definitely looking forward to all the books in this series!!!
I really did enjoy this story, but it was also so heartbreaking. Josh and Cassie, pushed by forces that were against them and not for them, each made choices that they thought were the best thing for the situation they were in at the time. Josh neglected to tell Cassie before they got married that he had been accepted into Georgetown, and she in turn fabricated her own web of deceit, thinking she was doing what was best for Josh. He was angry, hurt, and did everything he could to forget Cassie, and then moved on. Cassie on the other hand, was sort of in limbo. She loved Josh, but she knew she couldn't be with him. Nevertheless, she was going to have to face her demons and do what was best for everyone involved, and to do that she had to travel to England, where Josh was finishing up at Oxford. The series of events that transpires after she arrives is intense and emotional, to say the least. To be honest, Josh was kind of a jerk, and in his defense, he thought he had reason to be, but a jerk nonetheless. Even though he tried, he couldn't deny his feelings that were still there for Cassie, feelings he had tried to forget with alcohol and women, until finally he found a woman he thought he could move on with. "Lenor," bless her heart, was a rich bitch that had her sweet moments to, which made it hard to totally dislike her. Cassie found a temporary job and some new friends, who wind up playing a role in her future. She can't deny her love for Josh anymore than she can deny the fact that she needs air to breathe. I really liked her, but I got aggravated with her, because she believed the lies about herself - that she wasn't worthy or good enough, and because she loved Josh, she was willing to sacrifice whatever was necessary, including her own happiness, in order for him to be happy, but there was one thing he had to agree to, and that my friends, I can't talk about. I liked Cassie, felt bad for her, got aggravated at her, got upset with her, and my heart ached for her and what she was going through.
I continually rooted for this couple throughout the entire book, despite Josh's jerkdom, because he does begin to redeem himself before it is all said and done. I have a feeling I will fall in love with him in the next book though. Their relationship felt like this couple was on an emotional roller coaster that kept changing directions, highs, lows, to the left, to the right, backwards, and forwards. Then, there was a turn I wasn't happy with, another turn when it looked like things were finally going to work out for these two, and the author switches tracks again and leaves us with a bit of a cliffhanger, which sets things up for the sequel. Despite that, I was happy with the point these two found themselves at, and I am excited to find out what Marion Croslydon has in store for these characters in the next book. This story is not easy for these characters. They go through a lot and find that love is something you have to work for, there are consequences and repercussions that result from bad choices and lies, broken hearts and hurt feelings take time to mend, and finally, that honesty and truth are the glue that holds love together. If you enjoy New Adult Contemporary Romance, then No Reverse is something I would recommend checking out.
I should have felt the connection between them, it should've been like a beacon. But they felt awkward to me. Almost like strangers. Growing up in a small town and loving your best friend only to give him up unselfishly was Cass's downfall. Josh moved on and went to college, eventually meeting and getting engaged to Eleanor. She was kind of a snooty ice queen to me. Cass felt like she was nice, but Cass sucked at being a good judge of character with people. Josh was shocked to have Cass blow back into his life. But the guy did serve her with divorce papers that she got the day she buried her loved one.
Going to Josh, Cass had only one thing in mind. Tell him the truth, and try to save Lucas. It wasn't about getting him back.
I wish I could tell you I read a great love story of young love and second chances. But mostly I felt like they were worlds apart and strangers. The history they shared didn't come through at all and I really needed that to but into everything else. To want this to work out.
I guess I liked Josh pretty well. He was tricked and I think he handled learning the truth well. I felt a bit of his undying love for Cass, but not strong enough.
What I also didn't care for was the wishy washy way Cass handled her decision with Lucas. Stay. Go. Give up. Fight. Be selfish or not. The ending was Josh taking a stand and giving her an out to find herself. What the hell was the whole point of tracking him down and fighting for Lucas if she's just going to run off??
So will I continue this story? Not likely. But maybe these two could redeem?? Who knows

I loved every single part of the book.
Everyone who loves a romance book should read It.
Cassie and Josh had an unbreakable bond since childhood and the chemistry they shared was irreplaceable. When circumstances and interferences affected their relationship both were left shattered with one giving up their dreams and the other left feeling betrayed and broken. The story is told in dual pov from Cassie and Josh and switches from past to present. This made it easy to connect to the characters and gave a richer reading experience to soak up the story.
I loved Cassie and Josh as individuals but even more so as a couple. Their connection and heat just poured out of the pages. Cassie was such a sweet, strong, beautiful and courageous woman. She was left to deal with so much on her own but she had also closed herself off, forsaking her own dreams and goals, so selfless, putting others before her own wants and needs for the sake of her loved ones. Her struggles felt real and she fought her way with determination to correct her mistakes and take back what belonged to her. Josh was so sweet, badass, sexy, protective, possessive and easy to love in this. His love for Cassie was so evident despite what happened in their past. He came across as hard, angry and hurtful but I could feel just how much he felt hurt by Cassie and hadn’t let it go. Their journey is one of facing hard truths, trust, uncovering secrets, an evaluation of feelings and uncertainty on what road the future takes them on as they deal with things from their past and present.
My heart felt so heavy as I read this and I absolutely loved reading every second of it. I couldn’t put it down once I started and was totally immersed in the story falling in love with Josh, Cassie and Lucas.
A real treat. I can hardly wait for the next installment!
