- Reviewed in the United States on May 7, 2015Absolutely love this memory card!
I was specifically looking for a Class-10, U3 SD, up to 32Gb, as that was the highest storage my camera (Canon Rebel T3i) is stated to recognize, and fast enough to shoot rapid-sucession photos and HD video with ease.
As per the standard with SanDisk, it came with it's own little case, which is nice to have instead of just having a bunch of SD cards randomly tossed into the camera bag.
As I mentioned before, it is lightning quick, and handles everything I throw at it with ease. I usually shoot in RAW+JPG, and this card handles burst photos like a champ! You do still notice when the buffer gets filled up, but compared to other SD cards I've had in the past, this little bugger screams past them, easily!
As I also mentioned above, I can shoot HD video on the highest settings on my camera, and this card will handle it no problem. Often times, with lower-class cards, you are limited to the amount of time or the resolution you can record, because the buffer fills up quickly - not with this little powerhouse!
It is built very well (of course - it's a SanDisk), and preforms great! What more is there to say?
All things considered, I would highly recommend this product. Add in the price, and it's a no-brainer!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 25, 2015I am an engineer...I love data and metrics and all those details that describe performance. This time, I read many reviews that provided mixed reviews in terms of write speeds, but the reviews were good enough and I bought it. Last night I tested not by measuring how fast can I transfer files to my computers, as this most of the time is not my biggest worries. I tested by taking continuous pictures in predefined time interval, and I compared to my other cards.
Testing:
Camera Canon T4i (set @ 1/4000th sec, no focus point, lens on MF)
Time interval: 15 seconds (on a timer)
Cards:
1 - Transcend 32GB 300x (45MB/s) class 10 UHS-1
2 - Lexar 16GB 400x (60 MB/s) Class 10 UHS-1
3 - SanDisk 32GB (60Mb/s) Class 10 UHS-3 (This card)
Method:
Tested by seeing hoe many pictures I could take in 15 seconds. Average of 3 trials with each card.
Results:
- Images:
1 - Transcend 32GB - 17 pictures
2 - Lexar 16GB - 19 pictures
3 - SanDisk 32GB - 30 pictures (Wow thats a 50% improvement over the other 2)
- Write time: (Time required to complete write process after 15 sec continuous shooting)
1 - Transcend 32GB - 5 sec
2 - Lexar 16GB - 4 Sec
3 - SanDisk 32GB - 4 Sec
I expected to be able to take more, but not by such a large margin. I'm sure that a limiting factor was my camera, so I can imagine that newer cameras may exceed the 30 avg pictures in that time frame.
This is a highly recommended card for your camera. If you are into sport shots, or star trails/long exposure shots, this is a great card.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2014Have bought many SanDisk memory cards over the years...never a bad one. Got this for use in my Nikon D-800 (36mp full frame 35mm chip with 1080p HD video also. Works fine in video and burst shots. However, I suspect that this may be overkill for that camera as I have used the Ultra 40mb/s and even slower and could detect no problems speed wise. Others people have talked about a specific camera not working with slower cards. I am beginning to think that those cases are a problem of poor IO design by the camera companies and not the card makers. Bottom line...before paying the extra premium price for a bunch of very high speeed cards...you might be advised to get one of the cheaper slower cards and see if there is any slowing on YOUR specific camera. Would have a 5th star but price of all of these premium cards seems too high for the slight improvement over the versions below them.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 14, 2025Bought these for my camera, no problems
- Reviewed in the United States on March 27, 2015I picked up several of these while on sale during Black Friday. In my experience you can never have too many SD cards lying around.
I have never had a Sandisk card fail on me. *knocks on wood* I get all of the performance and reliability I would expect from an industry leading company.
I shoot with a Nikon D7100 which spits out a relatively large RAW File and have never had any issues this card not being fast enough. The only limitation I have is the lame 6 shot buffer limit on the camera (Seriously Nikon?). And transferring files is done in a snap. Usually around 2 minutes for a full 32gb card. In the past I have used the Extreme Pro cards (one step up) and would not recommend this line of SD cards. You will be paying a lot more money for a seemingly identical experience.
However.
If you are using a full frame camera capable of using a CF card, I would ABSOLUTELY recommend the Extreme Pro Line of cards over the Extreme. My main camera is a D810 that I use primarily for portrait work. Now this cameras files will make the D7100 files look microscopic. It seems like a 32gb card will only last me 100 shots (seems like it. not actual numbers). In the case of CF cards the speed benefits of the Extreme Pro absolutely justifies the price jump. But if you are just using a top of the line crop sensor with a SD card, the SanDisk Extreme is all you could ever need.
Now, if camera companies start coming out with 50MP crop sensors that can shoot 10FPS and unlimited buffer and still uses an SD card... I will adjust my review.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent For Newer DSLR Cameras
I recently bought this memory card to test on a UHS compatible camera Canon 6D. This actually has a Read Speed of 60 MB/s (400X) and the maximum Write Speed is only 40MB/s.
Sandisk memory cards has been my choice since a few years after using ADATA, Sony and other brands mainly because the data transfer rate remain consistent and true to what's advertised.
If you are wondering what UHS is?
UHS Speed Class was introduced in 2009 by the SD Association and is designed for SDHC and SDXC memory cards. UHS utilizes a new data bus that will NOT work in non-UHS host devices. If you use a UHS memory card in a non-UHS host, it will default to the standard data bus and use the "Speed Class" rating instead of the "UHS Speed Class" rating. UHS memory cards have a full higher potential of recording real time broadcasts, capturing large-size HD videos and extremely high quality professional HD.
The UHS-II interface was first announced in early 2011 and just now are we starting to see both UHS-II memory cards and host devices come to market. These are the professional level SD cards for recording 4K videos and higher.
This is for you if:
1. You have a recent semi-professional or professional body (Canon 6D, 70D, 700D etc.,) and regularly shoot in RAW
2. You are film maker with a professional camera capable of recording Full HD and your camera is UHS compatible
If you are unfamiliar with SD card varieties (class 4, 6, 10 or UHS), here is a brief description below.
There are two kinds of Speed Class basically - Speed Class (class 2, 4, 6, 8 & 10) and the newer UHS Speed Class (Class1 and Class 3). Each class has a minimum write speed.
Class Minimum Speed
2 2MB/s
4 4MB/s
6 6MB/s
8 8MB/s
10 10MB/s
____________________________
UHS 1 10MB/s
UHS 3 30MB/s
___________________________
UHS-II Stardard 250MB/s (For 4K and 3D Video Recording)
What do these numbers mean?
1. For Still Photography - This measurement is useful especially for taking pictures with very high resolution and/or saving in RAW format where the files created are very large. The faster the card, the faster it can save the file and be ready to take another picture. You can really notice speed differences with high-megapixel DSLR cameras when using multi-shot burst mode.
2. For Recording Videos - The Speed Class - 10 is required for most DSLRs on video mode recording full HD or camcorders, where the device is actually saving a steady stream of data. The resolution and format of the video determines the amount of steady stream data. This translates to a minimum speed you need to guarantee that the video captured on the cards is recorded at an even, sustained rate with no dropped frames (which would result in lost data and choppy playback). Let's say you bought a new camera recently and it's capable of recording Full HD and 2K, then even a class 10 may not be enough. That's when UHS-3 is going to be useful with a minimum write speed of 30MB/s. 4K and 3D Video Recording require UHS-II interface with write speeds more than 250MB/s.
FAQ
1. I am hobbyist photographer. Are higher-rated cards faster while using it on a DSLR camera?
No. Autofocus, turn-on speed, JPEG and movie recording even at 1080, image review, maximum framerate, and so on are almost completely unaffected by faster cards. Movie recording at 1080p/30frames takes just about 10 -15 MB/s on a canon 60D (Not a UHS compatible body)
2. I have a Non-UHS compatible body (Canon 60D) but want to use UHS class 3 instead of a regular Class 10. Will it not work?
Yes it will work but not to its full potent.
Remember that you are spending more money for a feature you can not use on your non-UHS compatible camera. But that being said, the speed is significantly a lot faster while transferring the data to a computer or perhaps you may upgrade your camera to UHS compatible one at some point in the near future, it is definitely worth buying the newer UHS SD cards.
In short, if you are planning to become a professional photographer or a film maker eventually, buy it right away as it is worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Carte plus rapide qu'annoncée

5.0 out of 5 stars Scheda SD ottima

5.0 out of 5 stars Schnelle, günstige Karte!
Meine Empfehlung!
