How are you caring for my pet?
At Snoozer, we have chosen not to treat our products’ structural foam with any chemicals.
This is in consideration of any potentially negative effects such treatments may have on a pet.
Because our foam is untreated, it will develop a honey golden hue over time. This color enrichment process is natural, and not indicative of prior use.
How are you caring for the planet?
In a conscious effort to reduce the use of non-essential plastics, we have also chosen to forego fully wrapping individual products in favor of using quality, recyclable cardboard packaging.

Frisco is the passenger and he is a 10 lb. PomChi. He fits and can lay down in it but barely. He has only gone for short rides so far and wants to stand up and put his front paws on the edge like he does when he hangs out the car window with me holding onto him so he doesn't fall out. We go on car rides around the neighborhood just so he can feel the wind in his hair. Spoiled dog. So he tries to do this while riding in the basket.
I didn't like how the straps are hooked in the front of the basket and cross over the opening and then hook to the handle bars at the back of the basket. It seemed to take up some space for Frisco and I was afraid he would get his little leg caught and hurt himself. So I went to the craft store and bought some black furniture thread and a needle and thimble and sewed the straps to run along the edge. It works like a charm. Also the straps how you adjust the length I didn't like how they were so close to the end of the strap so once I got my length, I sewed that too. It is still just a bit wobbly so I will get a piece of small rope and pull the two straps together to tighten the whole thing down and then it will be perfect.
All bikes are different and mine is a mountain bike. Considering that and the fact that this basket is well made and it serves a good purpose I don't mind making these adjustments to fit the bike like I want it too. I don't think there is a product out there that will fit perfect on all bikes.
I gave it 4 stars because so many people stated their 10lb dog fit great. It was a bit disappointing that he barely fits. And 4 stars due to the fact that it is not universal and I had to make adjustments to get it to work. I am satisfied with the basket don't get me wrong. This was the best one I could find out there. I would definitely purchase this again. I know it will bring me much joy to be able to go on long bike rides and have frisco with me. I live by a lot of bike trails and plan on going on all day outings and picnics with my sister and her chi as well. She will probably purchase this basket too at my recommendation.

Before getting the basket, I was concerned about how he would actually stay in the basket. He is quite young and doesn't always listen, and staying still isn't his strong suit. The clip inside is very good and prevents him from leaving, but I was surprised to find that he hasn't really tried to get out at all. He took to it fairly well. At first he did whine a little bit but I was prepared with treats and that helped quite a bit.
The basket feels solid and sturdy. I think that even when he outgrows it I will still keep it to carry things in. Good quality with some useful pockets for his leash, toys, food, etc. to bring wherever we are going.
I will say that it does add a fair bit of weight to the bike having the dog there, making steering a bit hard to get used to and pedalling a bit harder. But it only took one or two rides to adjust fully to the difference. But things like taking one hand off the handlebars or turning around to look behind me are now significantly harder to pull off vs. when it's just me.
