i got the 8gb white set with a copy of transformers prime and im amazed-i havent been amazed by a console game since n64-mario 64 but so it was a nice surprise. the whole concept is amazing to see running in real time on the dual screen format in hd.
ive read al the load time issues but if you want the system to not get bogged down simply save games as few as poss at 1 time and use sd cards for external storage. mine runs faster than my gaming pc. i really got this system initially for 2 games so im not worried about storage space.
if you wanna run this off a router PLUG IT IN DIRECTLY....idk wth nintendos deal is but their devices simply suck at picking up wifi-period. this has been the case since the ds, i never even tried to play the gc using wifi but im sure id have had the same prob.
for the price i think either of these (white 8gb or black ??gb- idk the spec but it has nearly 4 times the storage capacity) is a great buy. the processor blows the ps3 and 360 outta the water and that isnt reflected to badly in the price. the handheld display/control unit is just too cool for school.
tf prime is even better than the xbox 360 war for and fall of cybertron games. control is smooth like butter and the game has unlockable chars, areas, ect ect. its easily the best launch title UNLESS you want MORE smb, cant wait for the dragon quest mmo (wii/u exclusive) that gets stateside release in feb or mar (its already running in japan and after ff14s bs i very much wanaa play an mmo that isnt run by gold sellers. depending on how it plays i may pick up nintendoland but as of now im happy with what i have (im still playing xenoblade for wii as well so i have no shortage of things to do here.
anyway 5 stars guys...ty for your honest and fair price transaction.
If you take a look at the 2 other new systems coming out you will notice something they are alot alike, nothing really sets them apart from one another. Sure they have great graphic ect, but what and who is the audience? Its targeted to the same group of people. My 3 1/2 year old is starting to get into games. First the tablet ones and now starting to come around to console systems. I have a PS3 its of no interest to him whats so ever. Yes the PS3 does have titles that I'm interested in but I would be much happier having just one system that appeased the entire house hold. So when they write 50 article telling me why the WII U is dead and cannot compete with the two new systems that are pretty much exactly the same I have to just laugh about it really. How many articles are there exclaiming that there is not enough business to support three counsels and do you wonder if they have completely missed there own point? I feel as if the Wii U and the original Wii have their own market entirely because they have a lot larger age group that's interested in them. You can find a Wii in a 3 year old's kids room or a retirement home that's just how large it really is. So the Wii U which is just a nice upgrade to the Wii has got a large player base already. So basically I'm not losing any sleep over the console battle or falling for any of its propaganda the Wii U is here to stay.
The unit it self is very cool. Light weight and small just a bit bigger than the original Wii. The new remote was a great Idea and it will give some light to even younger gamers that are able to play tablet based games but not yet able to function a video game remote its touch screen and could offer some new and innovative ways to play just like my experience with ZombieU. The controller really makes that game even better so much so that you have to think there is a future here and there is. Of course all of the Wii controllers ect. work on the Wii U that's even better because buying a bunch of new stuff for it is great for business but for my pocket book I like the backward compatibility with the Wii and its accessories.
